Where are we, really?
We all take for granted that we exist in the midst of our experience; that we are experiencing everything from within the confines of our bodies; that we reside in our bodies. This may not necessarily be the case and there really is no reason to think otherwise. Our bodies may actually be drones and we may be experiencing everything remotely. In other words, our bodies may be in one place but we may be completely somewhere else in the universe, an alternate universe or even another dimension. This could easily be compared to the the U.S. Martian probe "Curiosity" which allows us to "experience" Mars from the comfort and safety of Earth. In a sense we may function similarly to the Avatars depicted in the movie Avatar. ~ Trabue Gentry

The miracle is walking on the earth, not walking on water or fire. The real miracle is walking on this earth. — Thích Nhất Hạnh (via purplebuddhaproject)
The real miracle is that we are here to walk on this earth. "There is nothing so fantastic as to compare to our own existence." ~ Trabue Gentry.
I want to do some serious damage to your junk!
I’ve noticed a trend. I’ve been a bit slow in recognizing this but then maybe not. Maybe I’ve just been slow in accepting it. The trend is using negative words or phrases as terms of endearment, terms such as bitch, ho, whore, slut, cunt, etc. For example, a girl might call her girlfriend “my bitch” or “my slut” or “my whore” or a guy might say “Don’t you call my bitch a whore, you slut!” Now, the former is just clearly a contradiction of terms by previously accepted standards. I mean, how does one derive a term of endearment from the word “bitch”? Now, the latter requires some serious examination. Let’s tear it apart using today’s acceptable terminology. The first person is angry w the second person, whom the first person is endeared to, for referring to the first person’s significant other using a term of endearment. We’ll put that one aside because I’m sure I just didn’t get that right. ~ Trabue Gentry

Three things can not hide for long: the Moon, the Sun and the Truth. — Gautama Buddha (via purplebuddhaproject)
I agree w the moon and the Sun...to a degree. However, certain Truths (not sure why it's capitalized since it's not a proper noun) have been elusive to humankind since the beginning of man, about 40,000 years, and throughout all of human history. What makes Gautama Buddha think that truth can't remain hidden forever? What proof does he offer? Where is the Truth in his statement? It eludes me. ~ Trabue Gentry
Life is not fair or unfair. It just is. People you love die. Things we don't like happen. No amount of anger, grieving or prayer is going to change the past or the inevitable. You just have to walk through it all as an observer and not as a participant, even in your own death. Take advantage of all the good that life has to offer and throw away the rest. Entertaining the negative is worthless and will serve only to make you miserable. Be happy and beat the human program. It's a choice that is within your power to make.
