I Don't Know Where This Idea I See In A Lot Of Fanfics Came From But Katara Doesn't Look Much Like Her

I don't know where this idea I see in a lot of fanfics came from but Katara doesn't look much like her mother. She looks like Hakoda and Kanna. With the more squared off upper face with the sharper chin.

Sokka looks like Kya. His face is more oval shape moving into his chin with softer curve rather than a sharp angle.

Obviously it's not a one to one thing and I know it's a popular trope to compare a child to their dead parent, particularly if they are the same sex, but Katara seriously doesn't look much like Kya and I think it would be nice if someone told Sokka, the kid who can't remember Kya's face anymore, that he looks like her for once instead.

DOES AZULA LOOK LIKE URSA?

I've seen most people in fandom be like "OMG, Azula is a carbon copy of Ursa!" or "Wow, she's the spitting image of her mother!"

I mean yeah, Azula sure looks very much like her mother, indeed

Yep! They sure are related

However, I wouldn't say she looks "exactly" like her mother. Because Azula also looks very much like Ozai too. She has the features of both her parents.

You can see the family resemblance, right?

Azula obviously has her narrow face, pointy chin and straight nose from her mother...

And she also has her father's widow's peak, hard angled eyebrows, and sharp eyes that could puncture a hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battle ship and leaving thousands to drown at sea...

Joke aside, I like how Azula doesn't look like a mini Ursa but has the features of both Ursa and Ozai, just like how it happens in real life.

Eh, father-daughter...

And it's the same case for Zuko. He looks very much like Ozai.

Genetics is crazy, isn't it?

But still, you can see the Ursa's features in Zuko too. The narrow face, straight nose, comparatively softer features...

And not surprisingly, Azula without make-up and Zuko without scar also look very alike

Also, I love how Azula without her make-up and from side profile looks gender-neutral. Reminds me of the fact that she's only 14. It makes more sense for 14 year olds to look more androgynous than looking absurdly feminine. Nice touch!

Day 15 - Healing

we all know our girl is the greatest healer of all time but i wanted to draw her getting healed herself (by a very insistent someone) for this prompt:)

Soft Blacksun:

Blake has a fever, so Sun decided to stay over to her place to take care of her. He makes her dinner while she lays in bed but when it's time for her to actually eat, she has already fallen asleep. Sun leaves the bowl he made a soup of some kind on the bedside table and tucks her in, checking her forehead to see if she's still hot, she is.

Suddenly he feels someone pulling his glove and quickly turns around, only to see a still asleep Blake tugging on it. He takes this an invitation and lays close to her as she cuddles close. Despite her high fever, her hands feel cold, she is shaking.

They both fall asleep holding each other, as Sun was giving Blake little forehead kisses i mean it IS the best way to check her temp right??

Blake wakes up in the middle of the night, noticing that her head is on Sun's chest, looks up to see that he is fast asleep. She says "thank you" softly and gets all cozy and smiley, not moving an inch away from him.

Despite the fucked up context, that’s actually kind of sweet. 🥹

i wanted more Killua and canary interactions :(
