katara and zuko both never give up. they wouldn't give up on saving the world & going home, they never gave up on aang, & in a relationship they definitely wouldn't give up on each other

hot take: katara and zuko share a similar sense of humor. it has something to do with katara’s sarcasm, zuko’s natural dry humor, their shared inability to be “funny” and both being percieved as serious and mature
katara putting momo on her head saying “see? fun!” and zuko forgetting his uncle’s tea joke and going straight for the punchline have the same energy

I’ve always found it a bit weird that Katara was so… calm after the whole Yon Rha thing. I feel like once the adrenaline fades, the reality of the situation would sink in and would emotionally absolutely overwhelm anyone in her position…
Then again, we’ve never seen what happened between when they turn to take their leave and the others arriving, so who knows :o
She needed a fresh start after everything that’s happened and everyone approves Toph is pretending to not care

Zuko’s phone screensaver is of Katara surrounded with turtles ducks with an arms full of them (with one on top her head) in mid laughter, her lustrous hair blowing with the wind.
Katara’s phone screensaver is of Zuko happily feeding the otter-penguins with the most softest smile on his face. She has another picture of Zuko asleep with the otter penguins cuddle up next to him for warmth as her lockscreen
