[The Road Trip Thread]

The Narrator standing in front of a Shuttle Bus with yellow text on it reading "TSP Road trip Thread" in all caps. He has his arms crossed and his eyes closed as he says the following.

"Welcome, fans of the Stanley Parable on Tumblr, to a thread announcement"

In smaller text below, reads in parenthesis: "(Oswin has given me temporary access to his account to help make this announcement. So, please turn off all cell phones and other electronic devices unless they are being used to view this announcement.)"

The Narrator's eyes open as he looks into the camera smiling. His right hand is now open, while his left arm is behind his back as he speaks.

"Summer is quickly approaching, and as such, what better time to get out of our offices and into the lush outdoors that we've been narrating for a considerable amount of time."

"Me and Oswin are planning a road trip of sorts that you are more than welcome to attend with us. All you simply have to do is pack your things and meet us by the bus here for us to go."

In parenthesis and in smaller text: "(All accommodations are being covered by us!) (If you get a call saying that your swimming pool has been sold however, that is a scam, Pay it no mind.) (besides, you probably have two more. surely you can afford another.)"

The Narrator puts his right hand behind his back, and his left hand pulls out a paper. He looks at the paper and says:

"Once most people arrive, we will pass around an itinerary of our plans for this trip and potential places we will visit. it will be up to you on whether you want to follow a group in doing an activity, or wandering off and doing whatever you wish. We're simply here to take you all to these places and let you enjoy your vacation however you see fit!"

"However, you are always welcome to stay at the accommodation rented out for us if you choose to not participate in any event."

"(Stanley's working on the itinerary as we speak, he's surprisingly good at graphic design!)"

The Narrator drops his arms to his side with a sigh, he looks at the camera tiredly with sweat down his face as he says:

"... Alright, speaking plainly to you all unrelated to the plot in any capacity now, this is just a trend where you can draw or write Stanley Parable characters in different locations doing whatever you see fit. You can follow the trip-itinerary prompts or not, im not your boss im not in charge of your story. Im simply the messenger this time around unfortunately."

"The same goes with the first thread where its the characters getting ready. Tie them to the bus, get them in tourist-like outfits, draw them in the bus, draw them packing their bags, draw them taking a selfie, do whatever. Again, im not your boss."

"The prompt itinerary will come later in the coming weeks. The reason why we're doing the first part early is simply to give everyone time to do something for this. Whether its art or fanfiction or whatever."

The Narrator clears his throat with a cough.

"*Ahem.* With all that being said. We will be sending out the itinerary on May 27th, 2024. The prompts wont start until July 7th, 2024. That way you all can have some time to pre-prepare anything or think about the prompts in advance."

"If you need a single tag to work under, #tsproadtripthread or #tsproadtrip will work just fine. Feel free to collaborate with other artists, but again, im not your boss. This is not isolated to Narrators and Stanleys. Timekeepers, Curators, Mariellas, 432's, Buckets, Jims, Players, and any kind of Stanley Parable characters are welcome"

"(And nothing here is canon to any lore. This is all in good fun and for good vibes.) (Consider this a pocket dimension, one-shot, filler episode arc. Vacation AU perhaps)"

The Narrator looks back at the camera, crossing his arms and smiling.

"And that's the announcement!"

"We really hope to see you participate should you accept the offer, and we cannot wait to see whatever may happen on the trip ahead."

"Now, if you excuse me, I will see if I can manage to fit all my hawaiian shirts into one suitcase."

"This concludes the roadtrip thread announcement."

Woop woop new trend! (i hope)

I've never started a trend or done an event like this before, however, I do want to do my best in hosting something fun for the community. So, if you have any questions. leave them in tags or replies and I will try to answer them as best as i can!

And, much like what narry says, you are not required to participate! if you miss a day, or an event, or don't have the motivation to do anything up ahead, then thats fine too! This is just meant to be something nice and fun to do. Plus a way to celebrate vacations and road trips bc i love those kinda things and we get to give our tsp goobers a little break, as a treat ksjdhfkjsdfh

really hope to see some people participate, even if its just for one prompt :3

see you all when the itinerary drops! and tysm to everyone in the original post brainstorming this idea that showed an interest in doing this!
