good morning!

i woke up today feeling well rested and full of relief. after spending the past two days driving to and from austin- this sunny tuesday comes as a vessel for serenity. a time to unwind and debrief,, to roll your shoulders equal parts back and forth— loosening any obligation that may be clinging still.

mornings before responsibility can be taken in with so much love.

the way creamer dissolves into coffee- wondering which shade of milky brown will emerge.

the way the family dog stretches, keen to be scratched and have her collar back on.

the sound of light switches flicking up- the way rooms light back up during use.

all of these little moments- i never want to let them slip from me.

i accept that this life, these mornings, are a gift. i accept that i may experience varying levels of hardship, and that i will take them on accordingly and only once needed. i accept that i have the autonomy to choose my narrative for my day.
