Aaaah I can't help but I did want to offer solidarity! I'm no lake/pond creature, I'm still of the ocean, but this is a problem I'm running into myself. I feel like I was mostly from the deep ocean, and I connect most to the horror of the ocean. Most clothes/decor/etc. are made with a beachy theme, very pretty or cute, lots of sailor type stuff, lighter colors. It's great, but it's not me. It's made it hard to even find ideas for what I could wear/put in my room to connect to my kintype.

So, all that to say; I'm still a creature of the ocean, but I wanted to say you're not alone when it comes to not relating to all the pretty beachy stuff!

sea merfolk have pearls and seashells, and personally im more of a flowers and quartz kinda spirit, but... what else represents lake/pond merfolk/sea creatures?

Because I had no idea what to name myself and making this blog was me "making it official" and accepting that, yeah, I'm definitely alterhuman and starting to brace how "other" I am to most people.

I'll go first.. quack is from the fact I really like the streamer quackity and he's been one of my long time hyperfixations... and woof is beacuse well.. I WOOF!! :3

OOOOH the watery ones!! I'm a much lighter blue, although tbh shapeshifter so I can be whatever tf color I want- but the way it almost looks like caustics the way my scales do!!! love that so much.

Which btw I finally learned the fucking word, it's caustics. That's the watery light pattern.
