A soft thump reverberates through the wide brim, the light impact felt gently against the back of the puppet’s head, followed by quiet, almost piteous squeaking; a quick inspects finds a baby stoat, sitting there, looking both innocently confused, and curious at the large being staring back at them.

kaminari isn't used to random animals falling literally into his lap. outside of the one pet he has, he hasn't really considered himself a huge animal person to begin with. why does EVERYONE around him think he's a savant when it comes to creatures in the wild?

somehow, this is buer's fault.

still, he's picking up the tiny stoat, holding it up until he's eye level with the creature. a tiny part of him finds this animal enduring, though tiny and helpless. well... he can relate.

"look at you," he says, holding back a sneer with great effort. it's not the stoat's fault it's so weak and helpless. "all alone, left to fend for yourself in this great wide world. what deity decided to saddle me with you?" it's truly annoying, that he would have to look after yet another animal. bastet also relies on him to care for her, but she also is big and old enough to fend for herself should she have to. this stoat... is an entirely different story.

he cradles it close to his chest though, using his thumb to stroke the back of the creature's head. "lucky for you, i'm not my mother. i'll care for you until you can be released back into the wild."
