what ppl need to understand is that TROS ruins not just the ST but the entirety of SW as it twists its core themes into something vile and toxic. it cannot be fixed after the fact, because its mere existence breaks the story. it can and should only be rejected.

You’re right and you should say it. It makes the entire saga narrative into something so profoundly, pointlessly cynical and the ST theme so morally repugnant that I can’t overstate how disgusted I am with it. I have to utterly reject this thing as a whole to ever enjoy or engage with any part of this story again. I have to reject it for my own sanity.
