Hey everyone, so I came up with a whole bunch of different AU's in English the other day and wanted to share them with you all.

Soulmate AU - In a world where you can only see the colour of your soulmates eyes when you meet them. If your soulmate dies you lose the ability to see that colour, your soulmate died a month ago but you can still see the colour of their eyes.

Space AU - Your home planet has been destroyed and you and five others are the only remaining survivors. Your spaceship ran out of fuel a week ago and you only have enough food for 2 more days. When you run out of food another spaceship finds and rescues you. The only problem; they are from the same alien race that destroyed your home planet - Earth.

Fairytale AU - You travelled into your favourite fairytale in hopes of finding your own happily ever after only to find that the stories were wrong. The princesses did not get a happily ever after especially if they tried to kill the prince. The stories you know and love were written by men hoping to oppress the uprising among women. It was working until you got there and stirred everything up.

Future AU - You volunteered to test out a prototype time machine to earn some extra cash, they said you would be sent 30 secs into the future, you were sent 80 years into the past and now you must figure out how to survive in a world where women have none of the rights you used to have.

The rain, I dont know why but the rain just makes me smile which is a bit weird. Butterflies they just look so beautiful. Waterfalls, I just love the sound of the water. Walking in the lake district, its so peaceful and I'm surrounded by nature. Finally spending time with my friends and family they always make me smile and they brighten up my day xx

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some of my favourite parts from my current WIP, let me know what you think.

Devan looked up at the man who had punched him and gave a lopsided grin, he said, “I would say that you punch like a girl, but my baby sister hits harder than you.” That earned him a kick in the ribs he looked over to the door and Thea caught his eye. The message was clear: he wanted them to leave without him. The door was slammed shut. Thea turned and ran for the entrance trying desperately to fight the tears that threatened to overwhelm her.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

The Hero didn't know what to say, they didn't want to hurt Villain's feelings but at the same time, they just burned down a freaking building. So Hero exasperated said, "Yes I'm warm now, thank you. Go and put out that fire, NOW!" Villain slinked off towards the burning building muttering about how they only wanted to help and that they wouldn't do anything next time they would just leave Hero to freeze. Hero smiled they supposed it was sweet that Villain had tried to help but they didn't need to burn down buildings this time. It wasn't like the last time.

Writing prompt 2

Hero was cold, they rubbed their unclothed arms in an attempt to create warmth through the friction. It was their turn to patrol the uninhabited village in the desolate part of the kingdom. At that moment the building a few blocks away from them lit up in flames. Immediately their hands flew to cover their eyes and face, backing away they hit something. After quickly considering whether the distance was safe enough they dropped their hands and turned around. There stood Villain with a proud smile on their face, "Are you warm now?" they asked. Their expression looked like they gave Hero a blanket instead of burning down a building.

I've found that if you write the scene from a different POV from the one its going to be in then you can understand and change what doesn't feel right. This was seriously helpful though.

Tips for Writing a Difficult Scene

Every writer inevitably gets to that scene that just doesn't want to work. It doesn't flow, no matter how hard you try. Well, here are some things to try to get out of that rut:

1. Change the weather

I know this doesn't sound like it'll make much of a difference, but trust me when I say it does.

Every single time I've tried this, it worked and the scene flowed magically.

2. Change the POV

If your book has multiple POV characters, it might be a good idea to switch the scene to another character's perspective.

9/10 times, this will make the scene flow better.

3. Start the scene earlier/later

Oftentimes, a scene just doesn't work because you're not starting in the right place.

Perhaps you're starting too late and giving too little context. Perhaps some description or character introspection is needed before you dive in.

Alternatively, you may be taking too long to get to the actual point of the scene. Would it help to dive straight into the action without much ado?

4. Write only the dialogue

If your scene involves dialogue, it can help immensely to write only the spoken words the first time round.

It's even better if you highlight different characters' speech in different colors.

Then, later on, you can go back and fill in the dialogue tags, description etc.

5. Fuck it and use a placeholder

If nothing works, it's time to move on.

Rather than perpetually getting stuck on that one scene, use a placeholder. Something like: [they escape somehow] or [big emotional talk].

And then continue with the draft.

This'll help you keep momentum and, maybe, make the scene easier to write later on once you have a better grasp on the plot and characters.

Trust me, I do this all the time.

It can take some practice to get past your Type A brain screaming at you, but it's worth it.

So, those are some things to try when a scene is being difficult. I hope that these tips help :)
