I realized that the best way to take responsibility and in the most creative manner at that is through continuously making things that are both beautiful and meaningful for me. Just like my blog posts, even if few people read them or even when I have an audience built, no matter how tiny, I will carry on with this passion blog one way or another. It’s a matter of accepting the waves as they come.
My mind second guessing myself if I want to be a silly goofy "ohh I'm just a girll" or a "I don't give 2 flying fucks of what you think of me" mindset...

self-improvement should be because you want to improve your quality of life, not because you feel or think you *need* to be better in order to be loved or allowed to live. there's no end goal with self-improvement, it's easy to dig yourself a grave when you don't realize that you're not on a ticking clock to be the 'best version of yourself'. all you need to strive to do is be the version of yourself you are the most happy with. find out what values you find important, what kind of friend do you want to be, how do you want to react to things. what are things that would improve the way you go about life? what would make life easier, better and more enjoyable for you?

I really needed to hear this, thank you.
I've been having so much doubt over whether or not I'm on the right track, and I haven't even STARTED university yet. It's also hard when people try to tell you what you should be doing and you're just trying to figure out who you are. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but I, at least, need to experiment. The years after high school are so crucial to a person's development and self-discovery and being constantly surrounded by negativity and comparison, whether from yourself or others, can feel paralyzing.
My advice to anyone in the same boat is just to keep going and find out what works for you. Not your parents, not your siblings, not that one kid in your class who's perfect at everything, YOU. Don't give up, don't let anyone tell you how to live your life, and go do something great!
