he’s watching her for the day while their parents take their little brother to the doctor. they’re chilling in the living room—she’s on the couch and cal is on the floor. suddenly, he feels hands in his hair, but he doesn’t move. he’s used to it. after a while, the hands stop, and cal heads to the bathroom to check the damage. there’s two small puffs of hair close to his neck, and he doesn’t hate them. he leaves them in and completely forgets about them. after the two eat lunch, cal invites andre over. the moment andre answers the door, he lets out a small laugh and turns beet red. cal has no idea why until andre reaches forward to play with one of the pigtails. cal rips the hair ties out of his hair and tells andre to shut the fuck up. andre teases him about it for weeks.
