I like over-analyzing stuff so let`s talk about it

plot reasons aside, I like to think that there is more to this scene than it shows `cause

Kevin has superhuman strenght so there`s no doubt that he would have been capable of carrying that on his own. Hell, a case could be made for Ben as well if he were to transform into something

But, despite these facts, they are doing this task the ”traditional” way

Maybe Ben wanted to prove that he didn`t need the Ultimatrix in order to move that piano. Maybe Kevin was joking around with him and made Ben want to prove himself

Or maybe the watch was timed out for all we know

But

I like to interpret the scene in some way in which Kevin chose to spend some brotherly time with Ben. If this really were an issue where Kevin needed man power, he could have also called Gwen to help with her powers

But he didn`t

Of course, her absence can be interpreted in enough ways but imo, the most in-character thing I could see Kevin doing would be - just not asking for her help

And despite what he claims, I highly doubt that it just so happened that Ben was the only available person to help him out

Kevin`s circle of acquaintances is implied to be large, sure. But no one sticks in particular to offer this sort of help. Who could he even depend on outside of the Tennysons ?

That is why I think this is more-so Kevin`s way of spending time with Ben outside of the general - alien missions. This comic panel takes place in the UA era, prior to the Ultimate Kevin arc so -

whatever the reason, it`s fun to think for it. hell, it could work as a one-shot fic

I always had the impression that Kevin would be extremely dissapointed if he were to find out after the whole arc that Morgg was still alive

No, I don't think the Tennysons would let him know. He would have found out either through the Rooters or any other sketchy ways

Back to what I was saying

As in, dissapointed in himself

For not avenging his mentor when he had the chance

Even as his regular self, I still see him as full of resentment. He just has people around him to prevent him from going after Morgg again and killing him for good

Case and point, Vendetta

And even if he were to try to do that regardless and/or suceed, he'd suffer the consequences, legally speaking

I doubt he'd be able to get away with it like he did with Ragnarok

In the UltimateKevin arc, I doubt he even planned/cared what would happen to him he'd get rid of everyone who "did him wrong"

There was no concrete conclusion to what Kevin exactly wanted after all of this

He was out of his mind, he could barely think past "justified" destruction and feeding himself

I'd argue that after the end of Absolute Power Part 1, he became more-so a force of nature type of threat because of his instincts taking control

Where ever he knew it or not, Kevin was getting closer to death. Either via destroying his body and/or outside interferences
