Thank you all so, so much who donated, liked, &/or reblogged our Hurricane Helper fundraiser. While we’re still waiting on Professor Case’s final number, on my end we’d raised $500+ for Greater Good Charities! I can only think of how many people that would help. 8u8

Got less done today than I wanted - turned out the washer we thought worked didn’t, so we had to work out alternative laundry plans lol. 🥲

DxP REWRITE - Cobble Badge

Hehehe, the first appearance of Cynthia! Who, again, Ansy / I first encountered years ago in Unova XD

The Plates in this one may need a little extra explaining - the Mind Plate is found in the Solaceon Ruins, where there are a bunch of Unown. According to Bulbapedia, when detected by the Pokegear Radio, their psychic communication “is interpreted as the melody of the Azure Flute.”

The Fist Plate is found on the rainy Route 215 where a lot of Black Belts are just hanging out, one being right next to it. My thought was that they were making a pilgrimage to this little Lilligant shrine (there’s one for each Lord & Lady), & on sensing the presence of Ansy’s Azure Flute, it gave the team the Fist Plate.

Also, Maylene’s Lucario is busted. :T

lol that’s because Emmet takes on the role of Barry in DxP REWRITE as the rival character! Different teams, certainly different circumstances, but yeah! Part of it was for the plot, but part of it was based on my own playthrough of Shining Pearl where I just decided to name the rival “Emmet” & pretended all his running around was Emmet looking around Sinnoh for clues about Ingo:

It is funny; I gave Emmet his messenger bag & green scarf, but they both already wear stripes & both are always battle-ready, so it wasn’t too much of a stretch on the imagination! 💭

PKMN & a latte

Morning ⛅️ Cirrus is keeping me company as I work on these Hurricane Helpers. I like the idea that he likes making coffee with me (I always thought Minccino / Cinccino sounds like a coffee drink lol)

I was talking with a friend about making lattes at home without any barista equipment, so I thought I’d share what I do here: all you’ll need is your microwave & a tea whisk (I have a metal one, so I can’t say how a bamboo one would be different)

Make your coffee (stir in any sugar or sweeteners here so it can dissolve).

Warm up your milk for 1 min or until steaming (1 cup of milk takes about 1 min)

Whisk the milk until you get smooth foam (you want to keep going until the bubbles smooth out, about 1 min)

Slowly pour the milk over your coffee.

& there you go - easy latte! Probably won’t make any fancy latte art with this method (I mostly just make clouds lol ☁️), but it works! If you want to take it a step up, you can add things like cinnamon, cocoa powder, or my favorite, lavender (just steep the lavender at step 1 for 4 min & strain). Have fun! ☕️

PS: be sure to pick a milk or plant milk that has some fat content in it - you don’t need to get cream or whole milk, but if you try with something non-fat, it may not foam (I heard oatmilk & soy milk make pretty good foam for plant milks 🌱)
