I'm Not Crying, You're Crying.
I'm not crying, you're crying. š
Right. Itās no big secret that I became OBSESSED with Simon & Garfunkel after I saw Artie in concert on October 14, 2008. Especially in the beginning of 2009, I was looking at everything I could find about these two boys.
Needless to say, I started shipping them *ahemcough*
Hereās a music video I made of them to the tune of Artieās āI only have eyes for youā. Thereās lots of cuteness, hand holding, touching but most of all eye sex. Itās cheesy, but wellā¦Enjoy.Ā
(I even wrote some small drabbles and little pieces of fanfic about them. I might be persuaded to post it in the very near future. :)

Hello hello HELLO! š¤©
67/68 were marvelous years for them, in every possible way.

The New Hampshire, 2/21/1968, featuring many highlights:
āthe hairy performerā
Art holding a nail clipper while answering questions and also remembering a girl from a prior show
Paulās self-proclaimed hippie sunglasses (with photo proof)
Another one of Artās patterned sweaters
Paul answering questions ābriefly if at allā
That ring was thrown from a bridge and is buried deep down into the East River, imho. That fuck of a timeline tells no lies.
Editing to add that I still haven't solved the mystery of Artie's ring, which apparently made a single brief appearance in a 1968 concert. Stuff that keeps you up at night, I know, but I still think about it after all these years.
There you go, here you can enjoy both rings in all their glory.

Hello! Fun little research that Iāve been doing with @times-up-alone-tonight about the origins of the silver ring that Paul Simon wore on his right hand from about ā64 until the release of the Bridge album. Here is a quick summary of our thoughts on this, and we would love to hear everyone elseās!
Weāve noticed that Paul has been wearing a silver ring on the right hand. By analyzing the photos we understood that he got it somewhere in 1964 and it disappeared in 1970. At first we had 3 versions:
1)Paul bought it himself and really liked it (but why did he get rid of it?); 2) Kathy gifted it to him; 3) Itās connected to Art
By doing deeper research we understood that Paul officially met Kathy in April of 1964. However the ring can be noticed on the cover of Wednesday Morning, 3AM and photos from the sessions. So he got it before he met her. during that time first Simon and Garfunkel reconnection happened.
Our best guess of when it disappeared is somewhere before the May of 1970, probably Bridge release date or when Art and him decided that was over. Because it can be noticed in 1969 but on May of 1970 he already didnāt have it.

Am I the only psycho who spots a bit of tenderness and a glimpse of cautious hope in their eyes around the Central Park era? Probably so. Anyway, I've always loved these pics.
