I Can't Remember For The Life Of Me Who Posted An Article On Here Where Artie Said That Paul Is Not A

I can't remember for the life of me who posted an article on here where Artie said that Paul is not a poet but a songwriter, or something along the lines - maybe it was you, @more-or-less-the-same ? Anyway, I thought I had a memory of Paul saying the same thing more than once over the years, in the 60s at least, and surprise surprise, Art's FB page posted an article where our favorite sensitive poet (cookies if you get the reference) says just this. Kinda interesting article, all in all, I think - "stretching to his full 5'4" height" must be my new favorite line about Paul.

That ring was thrown from a bridge and is buried deep down into the East River, imho. That fuck of a timeline tells no lies.

Editing to add that I still haven't solved the mystery of Artie's ring, which apparently made a single brief appearance in a 1968 concert. Stuff that keeps you up at night, I know, but I still think about it after all these years.

There you go, here you can enjoy both rings in all their glory.

That Ring Was Thrown From A Bridge And Is Buried Deep Down Into The East River, Imho. That Fuck Of A

Hello! Fun little research that I’ve been doing with @times-up-alone-tonight about the origins of the silver ring that Paul Simon wore on his right hand from about ā€˜64 until the release of the Bridge album. Here is a quick summary of our thoughts on this, and we would love to hear everyone else’s!

We’ve noticed that Paul has been wearing a silver ring on the right hand. By analyzing the photos we understood that he got it somewhere in 1964 and it disappeared in 1970. At first we had 3 versions:

1)Paul bought it himself and really liked it (but why did he get rid of it?); 2) Kathy gifted it to him; 3) It’s connected to Art

By doing deeper research we understood that Paul officially met Kathy in April of 1964. However the ring can be noticed on the cover of Wednesday Morning, 3AM and photos from the sessions. So he got it before he met her. during that time first Simon and Garfunkel reconnection happened.

Our best guess of when it disappeared is somewhere before the May of 1970, probably Bridge release date or when Art and him decided that was over. Because it can be noticed in 1969 but on May of 1970 he already didn’t have it.

That's the shirt Artie wears on Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme! Not to mention during that marvelous live in France, thinking of it.

Agreed.

To keep going on the theme of the Heart and Bones breakup, here you can hear both their points of view and at 3:05… Let’s just say it’s the saddest I’ve ever heard Art’s voice.

I'm not crying, you're crying. 😭

Right. It’s no big secret that I became OBSESSED with Simon & Garfunkel after I saw Artie in concert on October 14, 2008. Especially in the beginning of 2009, I was looking at everything I could find about these two boys.

Needless to say, I started shipping them *ahemcough*

Here’s a music video I made of them to the tune of Artie’s ā€œI only have eyes for youā€. There’s lots of cuteness, hand holding, touching but most of all eye sex. It’s cheesy, but well…Enjoy.Ā

(I even wrote some small drabbles and little pieces of fanfic about them. I might be persuaded to post it in the very near future. :)
