It’s hard to explain, or people don’t want to understand(?)

LOL Not everyone has the money to commission an artist. I certainly don't and if I did, I wouldn't waste it on commissioning a digital piece of artwork. I understand, commissions is how you make a living to pay for food and whatnot. But, people aren't going to commission you if your prices are outrageous and overly expensive. You have to understand, not everybody has that kind of money to waste on your artwork. The most I ever payed was $183 for a custom plushie.

Yes,not everyone has the money to commission an artist but I’m not forcing anyone to commission me. I have to understand? No anon, YOU have to understand that people can spend their money however the hell they want,whether that be on something they actually need or just something they like. Art might be a waste of money to you but there’s people who love getting their characters drawn by others and they can spend as much or as little money as they want. No one is forcing them,it is their own decision and it’s none of your business.

Everyone is allowed to have and express their own opinion but honestly? Sometimes it’s better to just shut up and keep your opinion to yourself. If you don’t wanna spend money on a commission then simply DON’T. No one told you to do that. NO. ONE. It’s ok if you don’t agree with how people spend their money ,it’s ok if you don’t like what someone does as a job to pay for food and bills. But you should ALWAYS respect people and their decisions (especially when they don’t affect you). Seriously anon,learn some respect.

Why do artists refuse to use references why why why.

It’s not a contest to see who can get by without them. It’s not cheating to look at a thing in order to know what the thing looks like.

You don’t get stronger or better by pretending. Nobody is impressed by the awkward whatever-it-is you just drew. Use references.
