No Game: Idol! Amber x Idol! Reader

Summary: What happens when you have to shoot after you break up. Amber won't let you get away without fighting for you.

A/n: Just a short comfort fic.

"Please welcome a brand new season of your favourite game show Hwaiting, with your most favourite host Eric Nam. And these are the contestants" Eric said as he introduced everyone. The contestants for the new season were, Asley, Jamie, Amber, BM, Keeho, Mark, Woosung and you.

Filmimg a new season of hwaiting should have been very fun right? And it was, except for a few unexpected parts. Well, to be fair you didn't know you'd break up and you'd have to shoot it with your ex-girlfriend when you signed it. You both thought it would be fun until it all went tumbling down. You were stuck with some promotions in Korea while Amber was busy in America for days. She was busy working on an album and you couldn't be any more proud. But recently things were difficult for both of you, the reporters were being too nosy with their questions and your management wasn't doing anything about it. And you were exhausted, you haven't even bbeen able to speak to Amber in the past week, and you felt shitty and guilty about it. When you called and were talking just something happened, it wasn't even her fault but you just snapped at her. "You know what if you don't understand then it's better if you simply don't," you said. "Y/n what?" she said in shock "babe slow down". "NO! I am having enough of this and I don't need more from you. I think it's better if we take a break and focus on ourselves" you said and hung up, going straight to bed. The next day you woke up feeling like shit, well what you did was utter shit and you knew it.

You felt worse for her, she didn't deserve this, and thus, you took the decision to not call back. Even Jamie tried to reach out to you but you just said "things won't work out". Things would never work out for you, how could they, you were you. Always messing things up, you would never be good enough for her, no, she deserves better.

But, Amber knew you by then, she knew what you were going through and was very familiar with your process of shutting everyone out when you are down. And so she waited for this one opportunity. She knew she had to work up to it cause you will do everything in your power to avoid any out of game conversations with her or her on whole. As expected you did that, but it seemed even luck wasn't in her favour, 4 games down and she didn't get to be in the same team as you even once. Even, your friends were getting agitated, they all have tried their share to try to get you talking to Amber. Keeho and BM went as far as to push you both at each other but you dodged and Keeho bumped into Amber instead making all three of them look like idiots. But Eric then had an idea which he shared with the rest of the cast.

Then came the 5th game. You were sent the list of games and stuff, but you didn't really read through them so you were curious to know what it was.

"Now ladies and gentlemen is a well demanded game from last season, Titanic and the bottle cap" Eric said (refer to Hwaiting ep 8 if ydk)

Eric explained the game and the special punishment for the two people who came last. Everyone seemed to want to put each other in trouble, this was a thrill, you were actually having fun in this shooting, something you haven't had in weeks. Keeho standing infront of you poured a hell lot of cola into the cup, you were sure you would be out, but you managed. Ashley seemed strangely too good at this. "I won't lose" she said. Woosung after her did well too. Amber who came up next got the glass submerged as soon as she poured one drop into the glass. After a tough game it seemed you and Amber were the ones who lost this round.

"The punishment is..Pe-pe-ro" Eric said. Now if this was anybody or any other day it would have been fine but this was Amber.

Even after a lot of whining they would change the punishment so here you were, standing with the pepero stick in between you lips. You knew facing her was inevitable but this was too much. You wanted to close your eyes but when they fell on Amber's they couldn't move away. Your eyes were stuck on hers and so were hers. You suddenly saw her lip "fuck this" and she tugged and threw away the pepero from your mouth and held you, fisting your t-shirt in one hand and holding your neck with the other and slammed her lips on yours and your eyes immediately close. You were stiff and almost forgot to move, it was like second nature to you your body responded to her touch and kiss on its own. Your head told you this was against all you reserves but all your walls were broken down by her, the one you love. And finally you parted to the sound of claps.

"You are enough" she told you "You are stuck with me and I am yours, I understand you snapped, and I might snap too, as long as we understand each other and not take each other for granted it's fine. I love you" she said pulling you into a tight hug.

You suddenly heard Eric say "Can you not make porn during my game show?". To which BM said "Eric you're an American, you've watched this growing up"

"Yeah but the asian in me is really loud right now!" He said and all of you broke into laughter

Hongjoong

"Ahh, fuck this" he heard you curse as his eyes traveled from the screen to the side where you were waiting for him to be done. He saw you looking frustrated at something on your phone and got curious "what's wrong babe?" He asked softly. You huffed and showed his the result to you "Who is your Ateez Boyfriend" quiz saying Wooyoung. "This dumb shit has been showing me Wooyoung and Yunho, seven times" you said pouting. Hongjoong laughed out and wheeled to you and pulled you onto his lap, kissing your cheek and said "Babe you don't need this stupid quiz to know that" making you smile. "You're mine" he said holding you tightly, "Yes I am" you said fitting your face at the crook of his neck.

Seonghwa

When he saw you pout sitting in the corner of the dance studio he thought you were sad. Maybe she had a fight with someone, he saw you aggressively typing away, he literally kept glancing at you until they took a brake and damn, the moment he looked back you were smiling. Like grinning like an idiot at your phone. "What you got there?" He asked you, while wiping his sweat as you showed him the screen to your phone saying "look!" Excitedly. He checked the screen saying 'Seonghwa is your Boyfriend'. "Was this why you were upset a while ago?" He asked in surprise, and you nodded saying "I saw this random person post they got you in the result, but I didn't and I tried 11 times until I got you! With different sets of answers" you said proudly, he didn't know how to react you looked so cute admitting all this.

Yunho

When Yunho saw you clicking on your phone so aggressively he was sure you were in a fan war yet again or you were playing a game. He sat beside you in the lobby you were waiting for him. He hit your shoulder with his as he leaned in only to find you taking some sort of quiz. The result left him breathless with laughter "Jo-Jongho?!" He said and rolled in laughter. "Great, now I owe Wooyoung 500 won" you grumbled. "Baby, the guy has like 2 braincells he won't remember it" he said "let me see" he said and just like that started taking the quiz himself.

Yeosang

Yeosang wanted to look up his email so he called out "Y/n, is it okay if I look at my emails from your laptop?". You mumbled "sure" from your spot in the kitchen where the ramen was boiling. Suddenly, it hit you "No wait" but it was done there Yeosang was looking at the screen and you in utter surprise. "You need a quiz to know I'm your boyfriend?! Y/n!" He said but started laughing himself. "In my defence, Wooyoung sent it to me and this was my first try" you said. "That's such a weird flex" he said clicking to do what he actually opened your laptop for.

San

You've been very quiet for sometime now and no cheering no comments. He looked over to you to find you busy on your phone. You kinda looked agitated so he let you be. By the time he was done you were sighing and ran your hands through your hair now he was curious as to what got you THAT frustrated? He simply came and back-hugged you to see you with a result page saying 'Yeosang is your boyfriend'. "Stupid website" you cursed. "Baby, I am your boyfriend" he said pouting "Say that to this stupid website" you said. "Then again Yeosang is your bias" he said and you looked at him "hey" he turned your face to him, both of you laughing.

Mingi

"Y/n~ Y/n-ah" he sang out, and you nodded in response, "What are you so busy with?" He says and "Wait.. wait" you whispered to him as you mentally said 'please, please' and...it came 'Mingi is your Ateez Soulmate' and you rejoiced. You stood up and hugged him, his eyes stuck to your screen. "Babe,I, your boyfriend, have literally been calling you ages and you were busy with a quiz?" He said "but it took you this long?" He asked. "NO, this dumb quiz kept showing Yunho and who not" you complained "So what were you calling for?" You asked. "The new episode is up" he said as the two of you went off, the quiz was long forgotten.

Wooyoung

You were bored, and were scrolling through Twitter when you found this quiz and thought of taking it but it became an obsession to prove it. "No you dumb fuck" Wooyoung and San who were busy practicing heard you curse. "Whats up jagiya?" Wooyoung asked and you passed your phone to him. "Your Ateez Boyfriend is Hongjoong?! You don't love me?" He said being dramatic. "Shut up Woo! THIS DUMB QUIZ" you said in rage, "This? Even I got Wooyoung in that" San said, chuckling. "Really? Let me try" Wooyoung said snatching your phone. "Wooyoung?!" You said. After the clicks were done he showed you the screen 'Wooyoung' was the result. "Even I got myself, paboya" he said and made a run before you overcame your shock and chased him with the nearest thing you found, a Banana. "I'll kill you Jung Wooyoung!" You said running behind him around the studio leaving an out of breath with laughter San.

Jongho

You looked over at Jongho and clicked on the link just to try if it happens. Jongho heard you gasp and you excitedly said "Jongho you're my soulmate". He got so excited and touched and was about to lay his heart bare when he watched you turn the laptop screen to the result of 'Jongho is your Ateez Soulmate' and he laid back down laughing at your cuteness. "Gosh Y/n" he said and shook his head as he sat back up. "You are my ideal type after all" you said flirting and wink. Jongho said an "aish jinja" as he then walked up to where you were sitting and said "Let me try".

Visiting you on your set was normal for him. After dating him for this long it would be, but today was different, you had told him, you were signed to endorse a special clothing line of this famous American-Korean designer, he couldn't be prouder. So he walked in and found your manager, both waiting for you. "Be ready to get your mind blown, Chris" your manager had whispered to him and he was confused. His confusion was however soon washed away when he saw you and the other models walk out in various semi-traditional and semi-morden wedding dresses. He took in a gulped as he kept looking at you. His heart feels warm. You excused yourself and walked up to him "how do I look?" You twirled. He was already blushing, he stood up and looked at you and unexpectedly said "Lets go to church".

Lee know

Lee Know reached your set and sent you a text only to get the reply that he needed wait as you still needed some time. He walked to the place you asked him to wait, it was near a vanity. He was waiting when he heard your voice from afar and he looked up. His eyes got stuck at you, he almost forgot where he was, the texts from Hyunjin that he was answering were long forgotten. "Oh fuck" he cursed under his breath. His heart was pounding so loudly he bet you could hear him if you walked close enough. "A picture would last longer, you know" you mocked him. But his smile never dropped or quivered, at that moment he promised something to himself.

Changbin

When you texted him that it would be great if he could help you pick a dress he didn't expect, this. "Babe? Did I miss a few chapters?" He asked. You and your P.A turned to look at him in awe. "Binnie, remember the new drama I have been shooting?" You reminded him, and walked into the changing room. "YOU'LL MARRY SOMEONE ELSE BEFORE ME?" he said, dramatically. Your P.A sighed "Awe Binnie, you're too cute. Now, tell me which looks the best" you said, walking out of the curtains. "How does this look?" You asked him while checking yourself out on the mirror but only heard silence, you looked towards him to find him awestruck, how could he speak? You looked drop dead gorgeous in that dress.

Hyunjin

Fashion Shows and Fashion weeks have never been his 'thing' but this time it was different. He had to attend this event and he dragged Felix with him. This was the special white collection and coincidentally what you were wearing had a veil. You found the dress really alluring with the layers and all and couldn't wait to walk down the ramp in it, especially knowing your boyfriend is in the audience. The moment you stepped out Hyunjin's eyes went wide as his heart skipped a beat, he felt like this was what he wanted and needed. He could feel tears sting his eyes and Felix could see that too. "Mate control" Felix whispered to his friend's ear. Who just whispered back "I WILL marry her one day, Yongbokah".
