“When I performed once, someone made a fucking molotov cocktail to combat the lack of pyrotechnics. Personally, I prefer the controlled explosions after that.”

To keep her voice steady was a task after witnessing that face; her eyes glittered with the unsaid ‘Told you so’ mischief. Performing with him was as easy as a flowing river despite his shock, just like her music was in his veins too.

Her eyebrows furrowed in distaste when someone dared to yell into Erebus guitar solo; the landlady here was quite a bitch. When she heard the door slam was when she kicked her satanic grit into full gear.

“Exploding, reloading; this quest never ending until I give out my last breath.”

Probably the most surprising was that the ground didn't start to shake at the raw voice of reckoning. Cindy wasn't just capable of briefly touching the third or second octave but also could stay as long as she wanted to with the previously thought impossible roughness. Powerful and earth shattering, she still finished the long last note, relatively on a clear voice in contrast of the previous stunts.

“It's called art. And vocal acrobatics.” Cindy answered smugly at the approaching woman, taking her stand between Erebus and...oh. Well...nevermind. She still was a terrible landlady.

“Besides, it was my idea.” she shrugged

He gets it! In an another situation she would be jumping in joy that finally someone understands, still she believed she has a few mindblowing tricks up her sleeves. A half smirk at the mention of possible employees still inside; try to not get a heart attack then.

Jade eyes fluttered close at the first chords, her left leg drumming her own rhythm, the clicks steadily increasing in volume.

And she screamed.

A pure, strong sustained A5 with little to no effort, followed by a voice which could fill arenas.

“Stab, brawl; punch crawl; hooks to my brain are well in.” she jumped, switched through octaves as it was nothing, dipping low after with vicious grit

“I know what I am, I’m Berlin.” and so Cindy proved her impossible claim true with a small grin on the corner of her lips

Erebus was stunned. He didn’t know what to expect but hearing THAT voice come out of Cindy’s mouth was not it. 

Luckily, he only stumbled for a second at most before he easily picked up right where he left in the song. His fingers plucked and strummed the strings from memory alone, following along to Cindy’s rhythm. 

Even as he played, he couldn’t help but steal quick glances at Cindy, awed at her sheer talent. He hadn’t heard any women before who could reach that kind of grit. Then again, his own voice could reach a lower, natural then what was considered normal. 

They played on together. Until they were interrupted by a shrill voice somewhere in the building.

“WHAT’S ALL THAT FUCKING RACKET!?”

A few moments later, a door slammed open to reveal a pissed off Sakuya, lit cigarette between her fingers. Her eyes zeroed in on her brother as she marched towards the stage.

“Oh shit–” Erebus muttered under his breath. 

Busted.
