To keep her voice steady was a task after witnessing that face; her eyes glittered with the unsaid ‘Told you so’ mischief. Performing with him was as easy as a flowing river despite his shock, just like her music was in his veins too.

Her eyebrows furrowed in distaste when someone dared to yell into Erebus guitar solo; the landlady here was quite a bitch. When she heard the door slam was when she kicked her satanic grit into full gear.

“Exploding, reloading; this quest never ending until I give out my last breath.”

Probably the most surprising was that the ground didn’t start to shake at the raw voice of reckoning. Cindy wasn’t just capable of briefly touching the third or second octave but also could stay as long as she wanted to with the previously thought impossible roughness. Powerful and earth shattering, she still finished the long last note, relatively on a clear voice in contrast of the previous stunts.

“It’s called art. And vocal acrobatics.” Cindy answered smugly at the approaching woman, taking her stand between Erebus and…oh. Well…nevermind. She still was a terrible landlady.

“Besides, it was my idea.” she shrugged

Sakuya tore her gaze away from her brother to look at Cindy. Her expression conveying nothing for a moment or two before recognition lit up her entire face. Her previous annoyance all but forgotten.

“Well, well, well~ Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?” Sakuya smirked, climbing up onto the stage. “You don’t write, you don’t call. I’m hurt, Cindy.” Although her playful tone suggests she wasn’t hurt at all.

The cherry blossom Overlord grasps Cindy’s face to capture her lips, unbothered by the fact her brother was standing right there across from her.

“I–you two know each other?” Erebus asked, quickly averting his gaze elsewhere and wishing he was anywhere else but there at that moment.

“No no, you didn't do anything!” desperation thick in her voice; dangerously close to crying

“I just- I thought... I thought I've gone too far and you-you don't like me or worse, I made you uncomfortable.” the truth was finally blabbered out; how she longed to reach after him, to be close to him again. But no, not while the situation wasn't clear.

A quiver of her lips at the faintest change in his expression, her arms tightly wrapping around herself to prevent an almost inevitable breakdown.

“They...they are dead. I killed them after I was resurrected.”

“Except the leader so I can torment him until the end of his life just like how the memories will haunt me for eternity.”

Control. Something she always prided herself on, control over her incredible voice, control over her gravity defying moves, control over the insane amount of power she possessed. But her emotions were volatile, now thankfully less explosive due to her effort to rein them as well. She handled this relatively good; Cindy concluded silently.

Lost in her thoughts, the contact, despite who he was and how she felt spooked her. The brief tensing and visible flinch as if expecting harm a telltale sign exactly what type of men she has been dealing with.

“I’m…I’m not?” she repeated, despite her clothing, her behavior, sparkling jade eyes were filled with such innocence at the uncertain question

It took tremendous effort to not reach after him, regretting terribly the initial reflexive reaction. Erebus definitely didn’t deserve to feel terrible because of that.

“My…” slip? “reflex before…wasn’t because of you. You are nothing but kind to me. I…don’t really experience it you know?”

The flinch didn’t go unnoticed by him and that’s why he quickly retracted his hand, afraid that he might have overstepped his bounds. “I–of course you’re not. I don’t know what I did but I didn’t mean to offend you.” He insisted.

His cold façade softened a little when he saw just how innocent her expression was. A stark contrast to what she was wearing right now. “I see…” He murmured, his hands subconsciously curling into fists. 

She had been vague about it before, but knowing there were those out there who put their hands on her. Who hurt her…Well, it made his blood boil.

I mean...it would be fun buuut Cindy is not Rozy. I feel like Velvet could potentially bring up even accidentally too much of her traumas and Cindy won't hang out with a rapist pimp without ending his life. She also chooses to not drink or do drugs in order to protect her voice; the customizing employees would freak her the fuck out. Also if she's stabbed for the fun of it, she will stab back.

Cindy carries a surprising amount of envy. She has suffered so much and she doesn't feel she 'got her reward for it' . Many would say cosmic level power IS a reward but sometimes it feels more of a burden. To know, to hear, to experience so much as a bystander. I think Leviathan could very much play with her anger laced envy, for a while. Until Cindy learns he has been holding her distant relative captive. Until he learns that she's a fucking Véghváry.

Cindy doesn't understand why the sweet angel of love doesn't hate her. It is extremely wholesome, touching that Cupid is trying to show her how love should work, you know without the murder part. I feel like it probably will be platonic, they are adorable, Cindy needs some kindness in her life...and idk if Cupid needs her chaos in hers though😂
