Smoker.

Lux respects him heavily, to the point where she has accidentally called him dad several times. It's a common joke around the G8 marines that wherever Smoker is, Lux is usually close by.

She views him as an idol and a father figure, due to her one's absence, meaning she follows his example heavily.

The two are both just as stubborn as the other, so can rarely ever agree on something.

Lux advises Smoker to quit smoking, while smoking herself.

When getting her justice coat, the first person who she showed it to was Smoker.

Smoker is one of the only Vice Admirals to have seen Lux interact with her father.

Tashigi.

Lux isn't as close with Tashigi as she is with Smoker, but the two have a sisterly dynamic.

Tashigi got Lux into reading, especially researching her opponents.

The two can often be seen chatting over paperwork or sparring with each other, Lux is usually the winner.

Lux likes to storytell to Tashigi about her times in the military when she was a child. It's like therapy but she doesn't realise how bad it was.

Tashigi helps Lux read paperwork, Lux isn't aware she's dyslexic.

Zotto.

Zotto is another marine on the same rank as Lux, though he acts as her partner or subordinate in a similar dynamic to Tashigi and Smoker.

Zotto is a sharpshooting sniper, but because of how anxious he is, his hands shake a lot meaning he often misses.

Lux and Zotto often are paired together and work quite well together, with Lux's outgoing and brash personality, her anxious and cautious companion keeps her grounded in situations while she keeps Zotto focused and calm.

The two are polar opposites yet work together great.

With both of them being parents, they understand how important each other's safety is not only to themselves.

Poppy Cline.

Lux doesn't speak to Poppy much, but she knows she's got issues with one of the Donquixote pirates, Left Wing.

As a girl with a pirate ex, she'd offer a snack and a drink, a gesture trying to get Poppy to open up to her.

The two would probably end up drinking, chatting about their pirate exes, before sobbing into eachother.

As for work, the two probably wouldn't interact with eachother, but Lux would offer for Poppy to join her and Zotto during sparring matches and meal times.

Lux sees a younger version of herself in Poppy, and so wants to help her as best she can.

(Prologue.)

Sat by a dock, Lux flipped through a small handbook of notes she'd compiled on those around her. Even if she didn't speak much to those around her, Lux always took note of their actions, their behaviour patterns and mannerisms. One thing she'd certainly noticed was how disorganised the marines were.. and it ticked her off to say the least. She placed the handbook down, searching herself for a cigarette, before finding one in an odd pocket, bringing it to her lips before snapping her nails together. A little party trick she'd figured out as a teenager back in Kholodon. If you could snap your nails together quick enough, the tip would light. And so she brought her lit finger to her cigarette, letting it sizzle before shaking her hand to put out the flame.

Fire, one of the things that connected her back to that bastard of a man, yet she dealt with it. After all, a girl with a short temper is nothing but a lighter waiting to spring into action. Her insomnia probably didn't help her case. With a heavy breath in, the smoke from her cigarette escaped from either side of her lips, leaving a heavy haze around her alongside the smoke from her flaming hair, which never seemed to exactly go out.

It was warmer than Kholodon at least, she missed the snow from her homeland. The cold feeling against the warmth of her flames, it kept her stable. But now, she was stuck here, as a marine. She wouldn't become a pirate, Lux had sworn that to herself when she was younger. All the stories she'd been told by him when she was younger, of brave marines, who fended off pirates that tortured people with the use of these disgusting fruits created by devils.

Yet, she raised her head to the sky, blowing the smoke to the sun, taking the cigarette from her mouth and pressing it against the plank work to put the spark out. She couldn't say much, the surname 'Mane' she bore.. wasn't even truly a surname. A title given by her father, to remind her of her failed heritage. 'Lux Mane', what a joke.. her name was Khari, yet no-one referred to her as, Lux, a nickname. Tsk, if only they knew the past behind that name.

She let out a small chuckle, reminiscing of her past days as a child, within the Kholodian military. Khari. That was a name to be feared back where she was from, the only person who wasn't scared of her was her captain. Axe. He was a strange one, but he taught her most of what she knew. He made her into what she was, 'Khari, The two spirited firecracker.' A shitty name, but it did what it needed to do. Scare people.
