a lot of people are sharing links to free pose creators who make their own content. everyone should def be downloading their content! (and telling them thank you too.) but i think it would also be helpful to provide some resources on how to make your own poses too.
i learned from this video in particular. it's quick, fast, and straight to the point.
our beloved vyxated also put out a wonder resource that's made pose making even easier. you can find it here.
the sims community site also has a great written tutorial on how to create poses. you can find that here.
katsverse also has great tutorial you can check out. find that here. if you look through the page it also links to a bunch of other helpful tutorials regarding pose making.
if you wanna just get started with learning the controls for blender in general, then look up everything you wanna do bit by bit. that's how i learned. from literally just searching "how to merge vertices' or "how to add in a new object"- you just take it step by step. remember blender is not a sims specific program. it's a completely separate resource. it's helpful to learn the basics of the program. it makes creating content with it easier. (i use blender 3.6 btw!)
after you make the first pose, it gets easier and easier. it's really not to difficult to do at all so don't be intimidated by it! play around, have some fun, and good luck!

i can’t stop thinking about how people in the global south, whose currencies are valued less than the euro/usd/pound because they too are exploited by the west, are sacrificing large amounts of money and fundraising for palestinians and sudanese, meanwhile americans are coming up with bullshit excuses for why their $20usd (there’s some people who don’t make that kind of money in an entire year!! that’s a thousand six hundred indian rupees!) won’t matter as much as their vote for the genocider’s right hand woman a few months from now.
if you live in the united states, canada, australia, the european union, the uk, or israel or the uae, god forbid,
it is your RESPONSIBILITY to do as much as you can, to donate as much as you can, so that the palestinians you see every day on your feed may have a shot at living again.
it is our countries that continue to finance these genocides and it is for the promise of our comfort that they continue to produce mass death. i don't care how this motivates you. whether you donate out of guilt over our blood soaked currencies, or out of a desire to appear moral, or because something about that individual gfm resonated with soemthing personal to you, or because you've seen people like me and my friends get angry, what matters most is that you are donating. because you are in the best position to donate, therefore it is what you must do.

I need everyone to sit with me on the floor for a second. You guys remember this is a community centered around a dress up game, right? A simulation game. You know. EA once stared down at SimCity and asked themselves: "hey! Those people screaming down there, because of the alien attack, what are they thinking about?" And then we got The Sims. This is what this community is about. You remember that, right? We're all just a bunch of nerds (affectionate) playing a videogame. We are ALL nerds. You are not the cool kid for bullying another nerd. In the end of the day you are also a nerd who's obsessed with a game. And I mean this with all the kindness in my heart. We were supposed to be sharing our little colorful pixel people and cheering for each other's games and stuff. How does "hey this modder didn't update my favorite mod in 5 days now. I should expose their address online for strangers to harass him personally" comes to one's mind??? Over a dress up simulation game???? Hello??? Respect your other nerd friend! Stop biting, kid! I'm calling your mom!

please help me pay my kitties emergency vet bill!
ive never done this before but one of my cats just had to get an extremely sudden emergency procedure and i don't know what to do, my vet and i have reached out to a couple incredible programs here to help with the bill but one is less than half and the other hasn't replied back yet, i've already declined the blood work (CA$356) to lower the bill at the risk of possible underlying liver and kidney issues not being found but its still a monumental amount for us right now. i just feel so helpless
we had enough to pay the minimum deposit to get the procedure started in time thankfully, but we were already scraping by as it is and now we're in desperate need of funds to eat/pay rent/pay off any remainder of the bill. i am disabled without aid and have been unable to work/haven't worked since 2015 but am on track to hopefully start working pt this fall. i live with my mom who has 3-4 jobs including one seasonal job which needless to say is stressful and wearing her down. we unfortunately are stuck in the most expensive place to live in canada with the inability to save up to flee so the cycle is never ending.
this is Teddy, my typically very silly vocal happy boy who's not quite 2 yet, my comfort king, my little muffin who acts like a weighted blanket for me at night and eases my anxiety, his favourite toy is his pink unicorn poof, he loves car rides and he can shake paw!
he got a sudden urinary blockage last night with no straight answer as to why and progressively got worse as the night went on, i didnt sleep at all, i was panicking and bawling, naturally, and raced to the vet to get in as soon as the door opened. i assumed it was a uti which wouldn't have been as costly, but it turned out to be much more severe and life threatening. i never expected my usually extremely healthy boy to suddenly be at risk of that and im still trying to just process whats been happening
he needed to be sedated and given a catheter and some medication, the total bill came to CA$985.62, of which we were barely able to pay 500 of, and one program was able to donate 300 leaving a total of CA$185.62 for the bill. this, of course, leaves us scrambling for food and rent as well
i know there are a lot of fundraisers out there needing donations right now, and i really hate letting myself be so open and raw like this but even a dollar would help tremendously and i would be forever grateful for any help whatsoever, even a rb to signal boost is greatly appreciated <3
TLDR; my cat had a sudden life threatening issue and now we can't pay the full vet bill or pay for food/rent
