This Was Not His First Yearfar From It. For Decades, Caesar Was A Captive To The Applause, Bouncing Underneath

This was not his first year—far from it. For decades, Caesar was a captive to the applause, bouncing underneath the warm lights, and laughing past aching muscles. He hadn’t always been part of this, but his talent for uplifting others had not gone unnoticed. Several decades ago, his heart had jolted at the offer.

lemme give you a few more ideas from my cursed reference collection
making micro-niche memes because this is Caesar, V, and Plutarch coded

reading up on ancient roman weddings to see if those customs would make sense in a capitol setting and i actually really like the concept of june weddings.
in the roman empire, june was the most popular month for weddings due to its connection with Juno. obviously, that reason doesn’t apply to the Capitol, but I can definitely see a bunch of capitolites hearing about these june weddings in ancient rome and making it a thing because they thought it was cool.
so june becomes the most popular month for weddings in the capitol. having a june wedding is also a sign of higher social status since they’re so expensive and venues are basically impossible to book. june is basically known as wedding season amongst wealthier capitol citizens.
anyways, all this to say that i really like the idea of a ton of june weddings happening in the capitol each year. there’s this juxtaposition between june in the capitol, where everyone is celebrating and a ton of fresh starts are happening, and june in the districts, where everybody is dreading the july 4th reapings and every day feels like a goodbye
