“Seonghwa.” You whined out from your position on the sofa. “Yah, Park Seonghwa~!” You called out a little louder this time. Seonghwa was sitting in front of the mirror with tubes of lipstick, tint and lip balms scattered across the floor. You didn’t need to check to know that all of those belonged to you. “Are you done with that?” “Which one looks nicer on my lips? Peach or pink? Also I was thinking of matte instead of glossy—”

“—Park Seonghwa! You’ve been sitting there for a good 45 minutes!” You pouted. You weren’t angry at him, but you were just shocked that for someone who likes to be clean, Seonghwa is just creating a painting of different shades of pink and red on his forearms.

“If I tried on every color, I bet you would swoon over how beautiful my lips are no matter what color it is.” You moved over to his side and saw the swatches of lipstick on his forearm. “What is this for? Don’t you have dance practice later today?” He nodded his head, rummaging through your makeup bag. “Wouldn’t the makeup team kill you if you don’t follow their wishes?” You cupped your hands and shoved your lipsticks into a small pile.

“Nah, they are only around when we have events. So tell me, which one suits me?” “If I say the berry-colored one, would you wear that out?” “Of course!” You didn’t think he was serious, hence you decided to have a little fun since you had nothing much to do and it was his morning off. “Okay, scoot over here.” You closely examined the colors on his forearm. “Are these the ones you wanted to try on?” “Yeah, but I couldn’t decide on what would make you want to kiss me.” He winked at you playfully and you rolled your eyes at how cheesy that was.

You compared the different colors available and figured that maybe glossy would make his lips stand out and all the other fans out there would be gushing over how hot he looks and not to forget…

“What has gotten into you? You keep staring at my lips!” Seonghwa smirked and you flicked his forehead. “If anyone stares at your lips for more than 3 seconds, I’m having their ass.” You retorted back and uncapped the pink colored one. You leaned closer to him, but he kept wiggling his eyebrows at you. “One more time you do that I’m going to lock my makeup bag up.” “But my lips look exceptionally pretty today and since you are doing this for me…” You focused and steadied your shaking hand.

Seonghwa being Seonghwa meant that he is handsome. You hate to admit it but doing such a domestic thing makes your heart flutter a little bit. You applied the light pink shade across his lips and lightly dabbed the corner of his mouth while Seonghwa’s eyes were trained on you. Seonghwa turned towards the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. “I love it!” You begin to gather the lipstick but Seonghwa pressed his lips against yours causing your eyes to open wide. “There.” You saw from the corner of your eyes that there was a very obvious pink stain on your lips.

“W-What was that!” You hid your now very red face behind your hand. You had never expected this to escalate this quickly. “Did I mention that I wanted to kiss you?” Seonghwa playfully blew a kiss at you just as you were thinking of something coherent to say when Hongjoong made his presence known. “Guys, let’s get going!” Hongjoong announced. You touched your lips again as Seonghwa got up.

“I guess we need to make it even one day.” Seonghwa hinted causing you to break out of your reverie. “I suppose I would have to try out every single color on you then.” You joked, eyes still averting his gaze. “I can’t wait.” Seonghwa grinned and the other members filed out of their rooms and headed out. “Neither can I, Seonghwa.”

“Hi, uh, is there any other way I can get another card for room 170?” “I’m so sorry sir, but there are only 3 cards.” The lady at the receptionist apologized to Vernon. “Ah, no. It’s okay. Thank you.” Vernon headed back out to the lounge area, pulling his hat lower. I can’t believe I left my hotel card in the room.

Vernon fished out his phone and dialed his roommate. “Yo, Joshua! Are you anywhere near the hotel?” Joshua laughed when he heard Vernon’s worries, “Didn’t you forget? Vocal team is filming right now, you know that right? Give me 5 seconds Jeonghan. Hey Vernon, sorry for that: why don’t you ask Wonwoo? He may just be awake.” “Alright. Thanks hyung. Good luck filming today.”

Vernon called Wonwoo, but it led to his voicemail. Sighing in defeat, he texted the Seventeen group chat, but most of them had responded with “We’re an hour away. Sorry” or “I’m not your roommate.” He casually flipped his phone in his hand, hoping that maybe Seungkwan and Mingyu would make his way back quickly so that he wouldn’t freeze to death, as the pool towels were not very big.

“Vernon?” He then heard your voice and immediately leaped to his feet. “OMG! My lifesaver! I can’t thank you enough!” “Wait, wait, wait. What is going on?” Vernon explained the entire story to you and at the end of it you shook your head, “I can’t believe you actually locked yourself out of your own room. I can let you shower in my room first.” You suggested. “Oh wow! You’re my savior!” You chuckled at how desperate he sounds.

You two boarded the lift and Vernon adjusted his cap. “My hair’s almost dry from all that waiting!” He pointed out. “You’re such an idiot. If I weren’t your manager and if I had decided to go to a cafe to rewind, I wonder who would be the first person to save your sorry ass.” “I know. But hey! I may be an idiot, but I’m your idiot.” He flashed a grin at you and you rolled your eyes.

“I should have left you out there. You sometimes really just don’t pay attention to your surroundings. Only such a person like you can pull off such a dumb move.”

“Liar. I texted you too! You greyticked me!”

“Still blaming me huh?”

“Merry Christmas!” San’s cheerful voice greeted you as soon as you picked up the Skype call. “Merry Christmas to you too, San!” You laughed when you saw San blowing you a kiss through your screen. “I’m sorry that I can’t be with you now.” San suddenly broke the tension and you felt down at the fact Christmas wasn’t spent with your significant other. “I know. But I hope you have fun during your fan-meet!” You forced a smile as you watch the sky purple down into blackness. “Also, wish the rest of them a Merry Christmas for me!” You waved at the screen of your phone as San passed his phone around so you could personally wish them a Merry Christmas and good luck for the fan-meet. 

“You are on your way there, right? Stay safe, okay?” You were pretty reluctant to say goodbye when you heard their manager asking them to get out of their car. “Before you go, I just want to say I love you very, very much!” San smiled. “I know that. Quick, your manager is calling for you to go!” You tried to sound light-hearted but you couldn’t deny the fact that you slightly resented the management for doing this. 

“Wait, wait, wait. Before you really go this time, just place your phone to your ears. The connection is really bad.” You did as instructed and tons of questions popped up in your head. “Uh huh.” You unlocked your door and saw a sheet of paper right at your doorstep. “Choi San, what are you up to?” You picked it up and skimmed through the commands and headed out to the park across your residence. “You are...following the instructions, right?” “Mhm. I can’t wrap my mind around this yet.” You walked to the bench and sat down. “Is this some kind of a prank? Choi San you better not—” 

“—Merry Christmas! For real this time!” You heard San’s voice from behind you. “I thought you were at a fan-meet? I…?” San pulled you into his embrace, “There’s no fan-meet today. It was my plan to surprise you!” “And I was going to spend the rest of the night crying because you were having a fan-meet!” You looked up at him and pouted. 

“I just wanted to surprise you. You’re too irresistible to not celebrate Christmas with you.” San pressed a kiss on your forehead causing you to flush a crimson red. The first bit of snow started drizzling down from the sky and San raised his head to the sky. You quickly snapped a picture of this and he turned his attention back to you. The snow kept falling down and the white pristine flakes dotted his raven black hair and you couldn’t help but gaze lovingly at him. 

“It’s getting cold~! Let’s go home and cuddles. I expect a lot of them!” San playfully dragged you back into your house while tucking you under his arm the entire time. You giggled as you attempted to shelter him from the snow. When you two finally made your way inside the house, you two were laughing. “I almost slipped!” San toed off his shoes and made himself comfortable on the sofa. San grasped your hands and led you to lie beside him. 

“This has to be the best Christmas present I’ve ever received.” You cuddled your face into his neck. You suddenly remember your gift for San and you fished it out of your pocket. “For you.” San raised his eyebrows as he took the airpod from you. “I saw that video and you mentioned that you were missing one side.” San smiled at you and pocketed it. “I like the mini sticker of me on the airpod case. Let’s just cuddle for the rest of the night.” You felt his hands wrap around your waist and you couldn’t trade this for any other Christmas.

Having Mingi as your boyfriend meant that most things were placed in a higher shelf to accommodate his height. And it’s one of those days when Mingi forgets to put your favourite mug on the lowest shelf. You struggled as you stretch your hands out as much as you could, only to grab thin air. “Ah, Mingi is so dead when he comes back.” You silently cursed at how high your mug is. You just wanted to unwind by making tea for yourself, but your mug was sky high and it peeked out from the shelf, teasing you for your short stature. 

“Geez.” You looked around for a stool or anything to prop yourself up to grab the mug. Frustrated, you blew a strand of hair out of your face and you attempted to jump up on the counter. But before you even placed your hands down on the marble top to climb up, Mingi materialized from behind you with a giggle. 

“Here, let me.” He stifled his laughter behind his sweater as he easily reached out for your mug. You made a face at Mingi and took the cup from his hands. “I told you to put it on the lowest shelf! Why do you always do this to me?” You gently punched his arm and he grasped his bicep, “I like to think that I am your knight in shining armor. How about that?” Mingi shot you a heart-throbbing smile and you rolled your eyes in mock amusement. You shot him a glare and he held his hands up, “Fine, fine. I like to see you struggle so I can help you because you’re so cute.”

“You know, if you came back a minute later, I would have locked you out of the house.” 

“You wouldn’t do that. You love me too much to do that.”
