a/n: i thoroughly enjoyed writing this (and also had a similar dream to this) so i hope you enjoy

when people dream, sometimes they would see a glimpse of what happened when they were in a different body, a different time, a different place. no one had an explanation for that. 

the thing is, wooyoung oddly and vividly remembers every single lifetime he has been in. 

ecords of his personal diary was proof of that. 

memories of every single timeline were etched into his memory. not only that, the idea that birthmarks (or moles) are the places where your lover kisses them are true: that wooyoung can vouch for. 

and there you were. you were always there for him, be it the handsome son of the ahjumma making bathing washes, the neighbor-next-door, the best friend he had a liking to, the co-worker who refused to date him until he produced good results and more. 

“woo, tell me about this one.” he was pulled out of his reverie, glancing back down at you in his arms. you pointed to the mole just on the tops of both wrists. 

“ah, this one. back in the joseon dynasty, i might have enjoyed kissing your hands too much.” you stared at him in disbelief, “really?”

“your mother had specialized in special bathing waters that could make people’s skin soft. for a servant, your hands were pretty delicate, and really nice to hold. a knightly man like me then was most definitely obsessed with that. especially when you combed my hair.” wooyoung added, a hint of teasing in his voice. he watched as you wiggled your fingers, satisfied with his reply. 

“was there ever a time when we were both of the same gender?” you mused. “just in this one lifetime. it was hard to get together, but we made it happen anyway. we even adopted a golden retriever because it made the two of us happy.” that lifetime was one of Wooyoung’s favorites (he also remembers that the dog was called dog, credits to you).

“then what about this one?” you pointed to your right knee. wooyoung could still remember that, the scene fresh in his mind. 

“we grew up together as neighbors then became lovers. it’s a very typical and cute relationship. you always tripped as a little kid and made me kiss your bloody knees. not the nicest thing to kiss in my opinion.” 

“hey!” you turned around to lightly smack in the chest but he grabbed your hand, “yet i would do it a million times to see you smile again. you are still clumsy for a matter of fact, but it’s endearing.” wooyoung kissed the mole by the corner of your lips, liking the way you easily melted into that feathery light touch. 

“so you’ve known me for many lifetimes. why find me again?” “i made a promise, right at the end of my first life. i said that i would find you no matter where you were.” wooyoung felt his heart twinge at the bittersweet memory: tears quickly followed by easy laughter as soon as the throes of death came knocking at his door. 

“i love you. and thank you for finding me even though i don’t remember a thing.” you burrowed your face into the juncture of his neck and shoulder and he laughed, “you silly. we are soulmates after all.”

Juyeon didn’t know when it began.

Yes, “it”. Aka his “infatuation stage”.

According to Google, he was “infatuated”. What should have been a little crush that would normally last for 4 months. Well, did it last for 4 months? Absolutely not. Juyeon hasn’t been keeping track (a lie), but it has been about 6 months (another lie).

The feelings started as a small ripple, but the next thing he knew, it became a full blown tsunami. He liked that conversation flowed easily between the two of you, liked that you made him all giddy all the same, liked that you had truly enthralled and captured his heart.

Then there also came a point where Juyeon had finally accepted that this “infatuation” was more than that. He was starting to feel envious when you were with other people, starting to feel upset when you weren’t right beside him. It then dawned on him that he had fallen deeply in love with you.

[Juyeon had researched excessively and was surprised to find out that he was still amazingly in love with you wholeheartedly despite people commonly falling out of love after the infatuation stage.]

He pulls himself out of his reverie, making eye contact with you. You had pulled him aside after work, claiming that it was an “important discussion”. So this was what you had wanted to “discuss” about: the reason why Juyeon was purposely avoiding you. [In his defense, he thought that he wasn’t obvious. Guess he was wrong.]

“You’re making excuses!” You stood with your arms on your waist, gaze flitting between him and the floor.

“N-No I’m not!” The voice crack mid-sentence failed him.

“Then why do you keep avoiding me? Did I…do something wrong?” Hurt flashed in your gaze and Juyeon lifted up his hands, as if surrendering.

“It’s not that! It’s because…! I love you!” He blurted out, clammy hands running through his hair, “And because I don’t know what to do! I’ve loved you for the longest time and…argh! I sound like a bumbling fool, don’t I?” The ENFJ man sighed, hiding his face behind his hands. He wasn’t expecting himself to confess in this manner. (Truth be told, he wasn’t even planning to confess at all.)

“So you were just gonna bottle up everything in here?” You took a step closer, lightly jabbing your index finger where his heart was. He nodded, hands still over his face. You lightly pried them away from his face and if humanly possible his heart practically leapt at how close you were.

“You’re too precious for this world, Juyeon. I love you too. If…you hadn’t noticed.” You gave him a small smile. “Oh. Oh.” Juyeon exhaled and he could barely contain his happiness as his lips quirked up. He was quick to embrace you, swaying you gently side to side. In this moment, he could freely love you.

↬ jeonghan ; opening doors for you, pulling out chairs for you

“let me get that for you.” jeonghan extended his arms exaggeratedly, pulling out the chair for you with a curtsy. people were definitely staring at you two from across the diner. plus, you were pretty sure jeonghan was beaming because of your currently flushed face, but didn’t say anything about it. 

only after you two were seated, then you finally let out a breath, a smile gracing your lips, “hannie, what was that!” you burst out laughing at how he sincerely held his position and because you were so shocked he had to gently nudge you towards the chair. 

“what? can’t i be gentlemanly for the love of my life? this is the bare minimum by the way, you should expect more from me.” 

↬ joshua ; helping you to change out of your clothes after a long day

“love, you’re home!” joshua greeted and you gratefully reciprocated his hug. 

“i’m so sleepy.” you whined, and he lightly chuckled before picking you up, “then let’s get you into clean clothes hmm?” 

joshua easily removed your clothes, love and attention pouring into the way he was being careful with you. as soon as you two hit the bed, you promptly curled into his side, falling into deep slumber as he embraced you tightly.

“watch your head there,” woozi gently reminded, hands cupping around the pointy edge of the table as you bent down to grab your fork. he did it so unconsciously, continuing the conversation with jeonghan. you sat yourself upright, noting the hand covering the edge. smiling at the simple yet heartwarming act, you leaned over to peck woozi’s cheek, “thanks babe.”

dokyeom squinted at the blazing hot sun and you stood near him, mirroring his actions. he instinctively held his hands out, two or three hair ties adorning each wrist. 

you looked up at him, mirth clouding your eyes. since when did he start having your hair ties with him? “what?” dokyeom stared back at you in confusion. “nothing. I’ll be taking one of these.” you pretended to decide between the three, before pulling one off his wrist. “you cheeky little one.”

“kwan! Look!” he drops his phone to his lap, as you lean towards him, turning your laptop towards him. he wordlessly hooked his arm around your shoulders, listening attentively to your latest obsession over an anime you’ve started. “and i think that  this dude is really hot, i mean well not as hot as you of course…why are you staring at me like that?” you blushed, suddenly realizing how close he was to you. 

“i’m just listening to you, you big baby. go on, what were you saying?”

by the time joshua stepped into the room, he’s found you curled up on your side. it was dark out: his training had ended a little later than usual and he was hurrying back to spend the rest of his night with you. you had an arm tucked underneath your head, legs tucked into your body. 

“finally.” 

a small smile played on your lips and joshua lightly chuckled. with your eyes fluttering ever so slightly, you extended a hand towards him, hands splayed out for him to take. joshua’s breath seemed to stutter, yet his body moved forward until he’s standing right before you. 

“i'm dirty. sticky too.” 

he knows you can’t see him: hair all messed up, clothes reeking of sweat, and a bout of tiredness rolling off his shoulders in waves. your hand flops down, as if disappointed, but you peeked open an eye, hopefulness lacing your voice.

“hurry...” 

one word was all it took for joshua to scramble to the bathroom, and he made quick work of washing up. 

“c’mere.” 

joshua gratefully took respite in your arms, your fingers gingerly massaging through his hair. he basked in your presence, eyes never leaving you.

sighing in relief, tension ebbed away from him in huge waves, putting a smile on his face. joshua simply melted under your touch, becoming putty in an instant. 

“hmm?” 

he stifled a yawn, shaking his head. inching closer to you, his eyes locked onto yours. joshua’s fingers lightly traced patterns on your back, his feet holding you in place. you sleepily grinned back at him, opting to wrap your arms around his waist instead. 

“i love you.”

the disappointment that riddled jake’s body when he watched you pick at the fish with your chopsticks, then proceeded to put the meat in his bowl, was a feeling he didn’t think he should feel. but still, he gripped his chopsticks with a faint, clueless smile, and he wondered if his effort to learn how to correctly pick a fish for you, as you mentioned you never had to pick the meat off yourself, went to waste.

as always, you learned how to do things yourself. as always, you never thought to ask him for help.
