“I can’t believe our date is about to end.” Seungkwan held your hand in his, swinging them back and forth. “I know. But the shooting star event you brought me to today was extraordinary. I would never trade that for anything else in the world.” His thoughts trailed back to the sudden kiss initiated by him. When the shooting star raced across the sky, Seungkwan locked lips with you for the first time. The stars were shining brilliantly tonight and Seungkwan admired you under the soft glow of the moon.

“Me too. You look absolutely stunning today.” Seungkwan felt a little proud when he saw the pink blush on your cheeks. “This is the best date that I could ever have.” You looked up and locked eyes with him. Seungkwan gazed at your eyes and saw how it reflected the glittering stars above. “The stars are so beautiful today.” You turned your head upwards to the sky.

“These stars are nothing compared to the ones I’ve seen in your eyes.” Seungkwan could make out the little flecks of blue in your eyes (could it have been the shooting stars’ reflection?) and his heart just skipped a beat again at how pretty you are. “M-my eyes?” You blushed again. He wrapped you in a big bear hug and was about to say something when he felt you shaking in his arms. Oh no, were you sad because you two have to part?

“I’m so sorry we can’t stay out for long. My manager—” Seungkwan frantically apologized. He paused as he stared at you laughing behind your hands, “That line. The stars in my eyes?” He was confused now. “Yeah? Your eyes are so pretty with little bits of blue in them—”

“—I’m wearing contacts, Boo. Blue colored ones.” You giggled again at his dumbstruck expression. “I...uh…? I actually thought...” Seungkwan slapped his forehead comedically, “Oh. Oh! But your eyes are so attractive and mesmerizing, even in the dim light.”

“I still can’t believe you told me about your blue contacts. That moment was supposed to be nice and romantic.”

“I had to. You were being cheesy the entire time we were walking from the park to Pledis.”

“It’s in my nature. I can’t help but love it everytime you blush at my lame pickup lines.”

You had finally finished up your revision and you let out a sigh of relief. Beside you, Hwanwoong mouthed, “Are we going?” and you nodded your head. Yawning, you rubbed your eyes and with your free hand you packed up your thick textbooks. You got up and stretch, smiling to yourself at how productive you had been tonight. “Oh wow. It’s already 1 am.” You suppress a yawn so as to not disturb the few students who fell asleep while studying their asses off.

“Thanks for offering to study with me. All of my friends bailed on me at the very last minute.” You hummed, brushing off the stray strands of hair out of your face. “Here, I’ll hold these for you.” He grabbed the multiple notebooks and lecture pads from your hold and you hid your happy smile behind your sweater paw. “Thanks Woong.” The chilling night air caused your hair to stand on end and Hwanwoong beside you sneezed (rather adorably). His newly dyed hair was a striking purple and it suited him.

“Bless you. Also, thanks for walking me back to my dorm.” You two walked in comfortable silence back to the girls' dorm. “Uhm. I have been meaning to ask you a question.” You paused in your tracks to face him. “Do you have a boyfriend?” “Not at the moment.”

“Then, would you like a boyfriend?” You had a vague idea about where this is going. “I’m busy with studies at the moment—” You thought of thousands of excuses but you knew Hwanwoong had your heart from the very first day when he spilled banana milk on you. You liked Hwanwoong. More than a friend. Yet you two hardly spent time together due to different class schedules.

“—Can I be your boyfriend?” “How about a boy-spacing-friend?” You internally screamed at how stupid you sounded. “So you are willing to give me a chance? I...I can’t believe this!” Hwanwoong pumped his fist skyward and pranced around you.

“I’m willing to start as your boy-spacing-friend. I meant. After all we pass by one another along corridors and have lunch together and...”

“I would like that. Hanging out and stuff.”

“I have something special prepared for you.” Jun handed you a blindfold. You looked at him with surprise. “I’ll put it on for you.” You saw his lips twitching and you immediately knew that he was trying to either suppress his excitement, or he was about to pull a prank on you. “This better not be a prank, Moon Junhwi.”

“It isn’t!” The black material covered your eyes and you were left pretty vulnerable. “Jun! Where did you go?” You slightly panicked because he would highkey leave you stranded at the park. You reached out blindly (no pun intended) and you felt something tickle your legs. “Hehe. I’m still here.”

“You scared me!” You crossed your arms, looking nowhere in particular. “D-do I need to walk somewhere? This isn’t a prank right?” You asked again, moving your legs to feel the uneven ground. “Move four times to the right.” You hesitated but followed his instructions. “Okay, then move backwards 6 steps.” His voice sounded distant and you gingerly felt the ground with your sneakers.

“Ya! Junhwi! Am I going to fall into a sand pit or something like that?” You vaguely remembered a sandpit and a playground somewhere. “What’s one thing you wish for right now?” This time without thinking you said, “I wish to raise a dog with you.”

“If you say I love you, really loudly three times, your wish will come true.” You could hear the teasing tone and you rolled your eyes. “For real?” It wasn’t a question, but more of a statement. “I love you. I love you. I love you. Now, can I take it off?” You gestured to the blindfold. “Wait. One last instruction. Turn around and remove the blindfold.” Your heart beat in trepidation as you anticipated something. With slightly trembling hands, you pulled it off and squinted as your eyes adjusted to the sunlight.

“Jun?” You rubbed your eyes and the next thing you knew you felt something furry and alive being passed to you. “Surprise!” Jun and Minghao cheered. You looked down at the small Jindo puppy in your hands and let out a squeal. “The both of you! Did you…? You…?” You couldn’t contain your happiness and you set the squirming puppy down.

“You like it?” Jun and Minghao came closer to you and reached out to stroke the puppy. “How…? When did you two have the time to get it?” You looked at them incredulously. “Jun hyung saw him at the adoption centre the other day and he knew that he had to adopt this little fella.” Jun playfully nudged Minghao, as if trying to get Minghao to zip it, “Hey hey hey. Don’t say too much Hao.” You leaned forwards and pressed a kiss on his cheek.

“Aish, you two should get a room!” Minghao made a face and got up, smiling as he did. “I’m going to go back to the dorms. Have a fun day out!” He left as suddenly as he came. You bade goodbye to him and turned your attention back to the little puppy. “What should we name it?” Jun wondered aloud.

“That’s not the important question now. How did you know that was my wish though? I never really mentioned it to anyone.” You purse your lips and thought hard about it.

“You told everyone in the 96 line but me. I had to find out through Seungkwan, who found out through Joshua hyung who found out through Hoshi—” He raised an eyebrow as he animatedly spoke. “Wait what? I swear I only told Woozi.”

“Only Woozi? What about me?” Jun pouted and you gave him a hug in apology. The pupper excitedly yipped as you explained to him, “I was going to get one after I got this month’s pay, and maybe surprise you. But I guess you beat me to it. You’ve made my wish come true in a way.”

“You better tell me all your wishes. And I still can’t believe you would tell Woozi rather than me!”
