“i’m back.” wooyoung called out, but no response came back. he cleared his throat and raised his voice, “i’m back!” still no answer. wooyoung looked at the album in a paper bag, signed by all of the other members, courtesy of jung wooyoung himself. he kicked off his shoes, perplexed as to why you weren’t at home. and even if you were at home, you would still have heard him, right?

wrong. the first thing wooyoung saw was you kneeling in a circle of ATEEZ albums and he choked.

"i'm doing a ritual to get seonghwa oppa's photocard. then I'll have a full set. did you open my album before me?" wooyoung pouted even though you had your back facing him, "you didn't even greet me." he happily grinned when he got your attention. sitting back against your hunches, you spread your arms out wide, "come here baby boy." 

that pet name right there never felt better after a long day of practice. wooyoung stayed in your embrace for a moment before you broke the silence, “i take it my album is intact? with all of their signatures?”

“yah, i come home expecting a whole evening of hugs and cuddles, yet i see you doing a whole ritual to get hyung? hmph, i’m taking this album away from you.” “no, baby boy please I actually paid KQ for this album!”

“the hairdresser noona kinda screwed up my haircut so i’m going to be a little late.” jongho easily lied, his phone tucked at the juncture of his ear and shoulder. he was currently hiding behind a rather gigantic teddy bear, waiting for an opportune moment to surprise you. out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted you as you chuckled, a sound he loved hearing. “it’s okay. if it makes my teddy bear look dashing, then i’ll wait a little longer. see you soon!” you ended the call and jongho crept up to you.

“boo!” you gasped, startled. jongho exclaimed, “happy valentine’s!” he handed you the teddy bear but paused when you were still in shock, mouth agape. “d-did i scare you? oh my gosh, i’m so sorry babe—” “—your hair...is so cute! you’re like a life sized teddy bear!” you squealed and jongho’s heart skipped a beat.

“me? cute? look at yourself. you are just so lovable right now i just wanna…!” He easily lifted both you and the teddy bear up, swinging you around. “i rather you be my teddy bear than this. but i’ll take it because you really, really, really look like it.”

“aish~! you’re so cute, what am i going to do with you?”

“felix! why did you do that?!” 

“i was just trying to protect you!” 

felix stood tall in front of you, hands outstretched as you clutched onto his shirt (by habit) behind him. if it were in other circumstances, you would have found him dashing, and even might have developed a damsel-in-distress mindset. 

with his larger frame protectively blocking anything (ahem, anyone) you felt a buzzing feeling in your heart. 

maybe just maybe, you liked the fact that felix was over-protective. 

you peered over his shoulder at jeongin who was sitting on the ground. or more like felix who nudged him down to the ground. 

“hyung! you didn’t have to abruptly jump in front of my face. you gave me a heart attack!” jeongin grimaced as you side-stepped to the left, holding out your hand to pull the younger to his feet. 

“i just wanted to greet noona.” jeongin pouted. “and your noona here injured herself.” felix stated in a matter-of-fact tone, causing the maknae’s eyes to widen, “what? what happened?” leaning onto felix, you lifted your left leg to show the evidence of a bandaged calf. 

“felix is over-playing my situation. i got a scratch from kkami, that’s all.” 

a moment of silence fell between the three of them in their dorm’s living room. 

now it was jeongin’s turn to raise an eyebrow, “seriously? Kkami? the dog?” 

“yes, kkami, hyunjin’s dog.” felix replied, face turning a little pink at the realization of how silly his actions were just 5 minutes ago. “okay, but that really didn’t give hyung the excuse to push me. my ass freaking hurts.” 

“hey! language!” chan shouted from his room and felix, now a tad bit flabbergasted, defended, “i didn’t want any more injuries. dog scratches are painful.” 

you lightly patted felix’s head before giving a hug to the waiting maknae, “okay, okay. there you go.” you released jeongin (who has a wide smile on his face) and he skipped back into his room. felix (still in his embarrassment) walked over to the kitchen and set the bags of snacks down. 

turning to face felix, you cupped his face, “gosh, you’re so darn cute. but, really i’m fine. see?” you confidently gestured to how you were still standing on two feet and he huffed, puffing out his cheeks, “i know, i know. i’m just—”

“—worried? what you should be worried about is the ice cream. it’s going to melt!”

a/n: so i’ve been watching kingdom: legendary war lately and i swear, youngbin keeps biaswrecking me?! i wanna apologize for the late reply and for the short story as i’ve been preparing for the start of year two in school T^T i hope you like it nevertheless <3 please keep supporting me !

Youngbin finally had a break from promoting his latest album and he couldn’t wait to spend his free time with you and Younghee, his precious baby girl. As soon as he got home, the pitter patter of excited footsteps could be heard and Youngbin smiled, exclaiming, “Hi baby girl!” He immediately dropped his haversack and picked her up. “Hi daddy! I missed you so much!” It really has been a blink of an eye and now Younghee was already 5. Maneuvering himself so he could close the door, Youngbin noticed that you weren’t with her. 

“Where’s mommy?” Younghee had her hands looped around his neck, and she whispered, “Shhhhhh, we have to be quiet.” She shushed him, earning a chuckle from Youngbin.

 “Okay, let’s be quiet.” He held a finger in front of his lips and Younghee mimicked him. Both mother and daughter alike are simply endearing. Rounding the corner, he saw you curled up with your laptop still on, it’s light casting shadows behind your tired figure. “Hi honey.” “Mommy! Daddy came home!” Youngbin put Younghee down and the two of you crawled into bed. 

“Youngbin? Youngbin!” You tackled him, your arms snaking around his waist to pull him closer to you. “I missed you.” You pushed yourself up as he cupped the back of your head, deeply locking lips with you. “Daddy! Mommy! I want kisses too!” Younghee pouted and you two burst out laughing. “Okay, okay. Kisses.” Youngbin wrapped one arm around you and another cradling Younghee, “I love you both so much.” Peppering kisses on both you and Younghee, as tired as he would be, he would never trade moments like these for anything else in the world.

“Girlie, where have you been?” Were the first few words from Changmin as he made his presence known. You gestured for him to enter and he closed the door behind you. Wordlessly he shuffled over to where you were, making himself at home on your pillow-clad bed and sat across you. 

“What do you mean? I’ve been right here.” You replied, eyes not leaving the drama that was playing on laptop screen. “Miss, you ghosted me for 5 days.” Changmin pouted, pulling out his phone and pointing sadly at it. “Ah. Sorry about that, my phone died.” 

Changmin shot you a look, his right eyebrow nearly reaching his hairline. “...What?” Changmin moved closer, gazed trained on you. “5 whole days. 120 hours.” You gave him a side glance “Right, I should have said my dog died.” 

“You’re allergic to dogs.”  Changmin quipped back, a small smile evident on his face. Now it was your turn to pout, afraid you truly did something wrong, ”Please don’t be mad at me.” 

“Me? I’m not mad at you.” Changmin huffed, beaming widely at you nevertheless. “You really ought to tell me when you’re going to be MIA. Life’s boring without my favourite introvert.” He gleefully pinched your cheeks to prove his point. 

“Cool. Do you want to hang out?” “Hang out? Really?” At times like these, Changmin endearingly embodied an excited, fluffy golden retriever. “Not really, but since you came so we might as well!” You lightly grinned. 

“Alright let’s go! Where to...?” Changmin eagerly jumped out of the bed, pausing when you weren’t moving. You gave him a confused look, “Where...?” “Didn’t you just say you wanted to hang out?” You then noticed that Changmin was in his outside clothes. 

“Uh, yeah. Like right here.” You vaguely waved to your bed. “Then it kills the whole point of hanging out!” The fellow ESFP had his arms akimbo. “I never said where.” You nonchalantly shrugged, hiding your satisfied smile when Changmin gave in.  “Your clothes are in the lower—” 

“—lower drawer, I know. I’ll go grab us some snacks. Wait for me!”

(special) “You’re going to overwork yourself.” - joshua

“Joshua?” Your muddled mind couldn’t comprehend why your boyfriend who supposedly had class was here at your dorm. Wordlessly, he picked you up like a sack of potatoes and brought you into your room. “My computer is still on and I have a report to rush!” You lethargically reached out but Joshua speedily tucked you in. “You’ve got to rest. You’re going to overwork yourself.” 

“Ah Vernon! I told him to be hush hush about it.” You didn’t want to worry Joshua, much less have him to come over. “I heard from him and I immediately rushed over when my class was over.” Joshua simply stated and you looked up at him, his eyes full of concern. You stopped talking when Joshua placed his hand on your forehead and your face heated up. “You’re pretty warm. Wait here.” You sniffled and you lay patiently in bed. A pounding headache settled between your eyebrows and you shut your eyes. 

“What did I tell you? Your immune system is compromised.” Joshua gently chided but he pulled you into his embrace, “Here, take these and have a good rest.” You obediently swallowed the pills and cringed when the bitter taste hit the back of your mouth. Softly chuckling, he closed the curtains and the door to your room. “No more working for the rest of this day.”

He crawled into your single bed and he spooned you, his much larger frame comfortably snuggled behind you. “High chance you might get sick, but I don’t want you to go.” You wistfully added the last part and his warm breath tickled the back of your neck, “I’m not planning to go anyways. My immune system is stronger than you think.” And just like that, the two of you slept in a peaceful silence.
