The first thing you saw when you blinked your eyes open was Changmin’s worried gaze. “Where...am I?” The room was pitch black and when you moved your hands you felt a soft plushie. “You’re lying on my bed.” You got up with a start, but Changmin pushed you back down. His pillow was really inviting and you were trying not to fall asleep in a bed that smelt like Changmin.

“I told you, as dancers, our health is the most important.” Changmin lightly chided so as to not wake Kevin up. From his half-squatting and half-lying position, you could have guessed that he was sleeping in Hwall’s bed which was right opposite his.

”How long was I out for?” You inched towards the left and patted the empty space beside you. Taking your cue, he got onto the lower bunk successfully, “The real question is, what were you doing half-dead in the practice room?”

“I’m not good enough.” Your tears threatened to escape as you sighed, willing them to stay in your eyes. Changmin propped himself up and looked at you, “Don’t say that. You’re working as hard as I am.” Changmin reasoned, tucking your hair behind your ears. “You don’t get it. Ji Changmin, you are basically the dancing god. A legend, to be precise.” Changmin was astounded at your sudden declaration, “I’m just...the main dancer of The Boyz.”

“But you are my role model.” “I-I am?” This piece of news hit Changmin right in the solar plexus. He felt oddly embarrassed that you were his fan and extremely elated that you had thought of him that way. “I look up so much to you. Your dancing style inspires me so much and... I...I swore I had to work hard to be at your level. But everyone is different, isn’t it?” Changmin pressed a kiss on your forehead, “I adore you. I adore you so much. C’mere.” He pulled you in for a hug and you inhaled deeply, taking in his fruity scent.

“I wish I was just as perfect as you when it comes to dancing.” You wistfully stared at him and a boxy grin popped up on his face, “Ey, don’t say that. You have your strengths too, like I’m not that fantastic at ballet, right?” You closed your eyes.

“Shush. You’re perfect in my eyes and you don’t say otherwise.”

“Yeah, and you should stop overworking yourself. I hate it when you do that.”

“Mm, okay~. Let’s sleep now.” (You buried your face into his neck and you felt his throat vibrate as he giggled, your limbs intertwined with his and you fell back into a peaceful slumber.)

“We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you want to stop and feel the rain?” - Changmin

Changmin burrowed his nose into the woolen material of his coat, stuffing his glove-clad hands into his pocket as he waited for you to finish your shift. He lowered his head as he tried to not let anyone recognize him. “Min! I finished work early today!”

 You back-hugged him, causing him to smile. 

“Let’s go.” He shifted the umbrella to his right hand, opening it and he took your bag, looping the bag straps over his shoulders. “It’s snowing a lot today.” You noted, “That means hot cocoa and snuggle time later!” His heart fluttered and he pressed a kiss to your cheeks, “I can’t wait!” He said with the same amount of excitement, a bounce in his step. A loud whoosh was heard and rain started pouring. 

“Oh?” Changmin glanced at you as you stared at the fat droplets. You stuck your hand out of the umbrella, “I want to feel the rain.” As soon as you said that, Mother Nature had seemed to agree and the rain poured even heavier. Everyone around you two ran, finding shelter. The thunder sounded and Changmin looked at you incredulously, “We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you want to stop and feel the rain?” Before he could even stop you, you let out a high-pitched yelp and you spun in circles, a big smile forming on your face as you, shouting in joy. Someone yelled “You’re crazy!” to the left, but all Changmin could think of was how absolutely ethereal you look. It seemed like time had stopped and he was just laughing as you grinned, the sides of your lips reaching your eyes. 

He snapped out of it, “Oh my gosh! Come back here!” He lightly padded towards you and you giggled, “That was so fun!” Thankfully you had had your coat on and the hood over your head, but Changmin hustled you back to your little studio apartment. “Come on, you need to change out of those.” He unloaded your things as a silly grin formed on his face, recalling how child-like you were. You disappeared into the toilet, and he took the towel hanging near the window. He sat down on your bed and you emerged, clad in your pyjamas. 

“Seat here.” He patted the empty spot in front of him and you bounded to him and you curled up on the floor. “You should have joined me. It was refreshing.” You paused and you sneezed into your shoulder. “And if I did, who is going to take care of us when we’re sick, hmm?” He lightly draped the towel over your head and dried your hair. 

“Uhm...Jacob oppa?” Changmin let out a huff, “I’m going to leave.” “Ah~! Changmin I was kidding! You know ” You laughed as you held onto his legs, and though you weren’t looking at him, Changmin knew you were full on grinning. You sneezed another time and Changmin scooped you up, “Let’s cuddle.” 

“I was just going to suggest that.”

↬ a/n: it’s been a long time since i’ve updated but here we go! i hope you enjoy! missing changmin hours: open!

“Girlie, where have you been?” Were the first few words from Changmin as he made his presence known. You gestured for him to enter and he closed the door behind you. Wordlessly he shuffled over to where you were, making himself at home on your pillow-clad bed and sat across you. 

“What do you mean? I’ve been right here.” You replied, eyes not leaving the drama that was playing on laptop screen. “Miss, you ghosted me for 5 days.” Changmin pouted, pulling out his phone and pointing sadly at it. “Ah. Sorry about that, my phone died.” 

Changmin shot you a look, his right eyebrow nearly reaching his hairline. “...What?” Changmin moved closer, gazed trained on you. “5 whole days. 120 hours.” You gave him a side glance “Right, I should have said my dog died.” 

“You’re allergic to dogs.”  Changmin quipped back, a small smile evident on his face. Now it was your turn to pout, afraid you truly did something wrong, ”Please don’t be mad at me.” 

“Me? I’m not mad at you.” Changmin huffed, beaming widely at you nevertheless. “You really ought to tell me when you’re going to be MIA. Life’s boring without my favourite introvert.” He gleefully pinched your cheeks to prove his point. 

“Cool. Do you want to hang out?” “Hang out? Really?” At times like these, Changmin endearingly embodied an excited, fluffy golden retriever. “Not really, but since you came so we might as well!” You lightly grinned. 

“Alright let’s go! Where to...?” Changmin eagerly jumped out of the bed, pausing when you weren’t moving. You gave him a confused look, “Where...?” “Didn’t you just say you wanted to hang out?” You then noticed that Changmin was in his outside clothes. 

“Uh, yeah. Like right here.” You vaguely waved to your bed. “Then it kills the whole point of hanging out!” The fellow ESFP had his arms akimbo. “I never said where.” You nonchalantly shrugged, hiding your satisfied smile when Changmin gave in.  “Your clothes are in the lower—” 

“—lower drawer, I know. I’ll go grab us some snacks. Wait for me!”
