General MattMello headcanons

- Matt is a blanket hog, he’ll cocoon himself every night and take every last inch of blanket from Mello. Mello has started bringing in a separate blanket. Matt has started stealing that one too.

- They try to have a date night once a month. It often gets neglected, work, reposibilities and general life gets in the way more often than not. Instead Matt makes a point of having breakfast together once a week. Mostly to spend time together, partially to make sure Mello eats.

- Matt doesn’t know the succulent on the windowsill is fake and keeps watering it. He gushes to Mello about how thrilled he is that it’s lived this long. Mello has decided not to tell him the truth

- Mello only buys hazelnut dairy free creamer as Matt is lactose intolerant and it’s his favourite flavour

- Matt gets upset when Mello removes all his cups from a round his desk despite the fact that they are growing stuff. They’re his little colonies

- Mello constantly has cold feet and will jam them onto Matt’s back at any given opportunity to hear him squeal in shock

- The Mafia members are terrified of Matt as he can make Mello smile and frankly any man who can do that is probably more dangerous than Mello himself

- They share a casual wardrobe, though that doesn’t stop Matt from wedging himself into Mello’s leather every now and then

- Matt loves physical affection and will demand a kiss before Mello leaves in the morning, several if Mello is leaving for a few days

- Matt loves touching Mello’s scar on the rare occasion he’s allowed too. It’s feels smooth under his fingers and he likes the ridges of it. He doesn’t like how Mello flinches away but continues to say he’s fine
