Part 1 (Wolf's POV):

The big bad crush

Wolf had been working at The Crimson Cup for about 6 months now. He worked diligently to perfect his technique, memorizing coffee recipes, and overall being the best barista he could be. However, he didn't stick around just because he's passionate about the craft. Instead, his true reason was way more personal.

There he was, a mature Burmese python, sitting at the window with a gaze that made Wolf melt. Everyday he walked through the cafe doors and ordered the same coffee. Mr Wolf had been crushing over him for so long, but he never had the courage to ask him out

Despite the fact that Wolf was in his late 20s, every time he looked at Snake he felt like a lovestruck teen. As he stared at his intimidating, yet gentle eyes he wondered if he could ever find the strength to just say the simple words, would you wanna go out with me?

Mr. Wolf was pulled into reality again as he felt a light tapping on his shoulder. "Hey buddy, I know you're busy with your daily routine but we still gotta get work done". Mr. Wolf's manager, Diane Foxington, said with slight irritation. "yeah yeah, I'll get back to work".

Mr. Wolf started preparing a cup, yet he couldn't take his eyes off of the serpent. He decided that today is the day that he finally asks him. He began brainstorming ways to ask him out. Unfortunately, every plan he made seemed stupid to him. "I'm just gonna go take this to the table, alright?" The voice of one of Wolf's coworkers cuts in. "yeah, sure." Wolf replied.

Although he really wanted to, he just couldn't figure out how. Maybe some other day he'd ask. He glanced at his hand and saw the sugar container he was holding. Except it was more than half way done. "Holy shit" wolf muttered in realization "this was full before I used it!"

Wolf panicked and looked around for the cup, his heart dropped when he saw that it was already being given to Snake. "Oh no no no no, he's gonna hate it!" Wolf screamed inside "and he knows I'm the one who made it!". Wolf broke out into a cold sweat, it was over for him, there's no way he'd go out with him if he felt that he sabotaged his coffee.

Wolf watched as Snake took a quick sip of his drink. At first he seemed surprised, taking a look at the coffee. However, to Wolf's surprise, a smile snuck onto his face as he continued to drink the coffee. Wolf melted with relief and joy. "He liked it." Wolf muttered to himself, as if not completely convinced this was real. "Holy shit he really liked it!". Wolf didn't even realize it, but as he glanced at his side he saw that his tail was wagging like crazy. His heartbeat fluttered with bliss and he couldn't stop grinning.

Part 2 (Snake's POV):

Sweet tooth, for you

Snake's days were, for the most part, not very eventful. He gets up, showers, goes to work, works all day, goes home, goes to sleep. Despite this fact, there was one part of every day that he could look forward to. His visit to the crimson cup.

The coffee there was fine to him, it wasn't his all time favorite. Of course, that wasn't why he went there everyday. There he stood, a tall, if a bit lanky, grey wolf that had managed to steal his heart without even talking to him at all. The way he always had everything under control, had a way with people, and handled it all with grace had Snake absolutely smitten.

Just seeing him gave him the strength to keep going. Sadly, Snake felt that he'd never be interested in him. A Wolf as great as him? With such a lowly snake? Mr. Snake didn't see it as a possibility. To him, Wolf was a fluffy god, and the serpent was just the same dirty old snake. As he watched Wolf make his coffee, he wondered what it must be like to be that wonderful.

Snake's coffee had arrived, the coffee that his crush made with his perfect hands. He still couldn't shake the feeling that he was undeserving of any of this.

Despite this, when he took that first sip of coffee, he felt all of that melt away. As he went back for more, he felt as if things would be fine, that things could work out. Just knowing that Wolf had made this with him in mind was enough for him.

Hey people, I just wanna say sorry for this extended period of time that I have ✨vanished✨ for. There's been a lot happening and I never really had the time to post stuff. Ill try to warn you in the future if I am going to be gone. I'm back now tho, so I'll try to post more often.
