LOVE + FEAR starters

“Sure is.” Kaminari sometimes wondered what life was like before all of the quirks, and most of the times he comes to the conclusion that it would just be boring. But occasionally it does seem like it would be easier. “What’s got you all introspective, hmm?” He asks, poking Jirou’s side. It was a fair statement of course, life was strange, especially for them. But he didn’t want to leave it at that if she was feeling sad for some reason. If he was good for anything, it was often cheering people up.

   Kaminari watched her wearily as she walked around him like some sort of animal stalking their prey.

    His chest felt tight, that guilt slowly killing him over time. He wanted to be a hero-…He wanted to prove he was more than a dunce who couldn’t get a handle on their own quirk-..but here he was, betraying the people he trusted and trying to prove something worthless to a man he never saw.

    “You’re right Toga…I would kill to protect my friends” He glared slightly as she made her way around him again, a charge in his hands “I wouldn’t hesitate to kill you if you hurt them..that’s a promise..”

“Ooh, a promise. Now that wasn’t so hard, was it?” Despite the boy in front of her making it clear that he could kill her if needed, or maybe even if presented the opportunity, Toga wasn’t all that concerned. It’s not even that she necessarily thought he couldn’t do it, though she certainly had confidence in her own abilities, he just showed his hand too early. Like heroes always do. 

“I don’t think we’re too different. I’d kill to protect my friends too, in fact, I have! We could be friends too, it’s not like I try to kill your friends all the time. They just like to get in the way. Also, I think you’re getting a little worked up there Sparky.” She pointed out as an after thought, looking at the electricity sparking off of his hands. 

“This would be easier on you if you relaxed. You’re doing what you can to give us what we want so we can leave them alone. That’s got to be heroic, protecting all those people. Even if you would kill me. So stop worrying so much.” She hopped up onto the bar next to Kaminari, bringing her knees to her chest and smiling at him.
