what does your muse smell like ?
mercury often smells like oil and gunpowder, sometimes with sweat and a metallic tinge of blood. he has unscented shampoo and body wash, but his deodorant is a fresh water type scent. when he does wear cologne or use candles, he likes darker foresty scents, but in his line of work he doesn't want to have any signature smell for people to associate with him or recognize him by.
what do your muse’s hands feel like ?
his hands are calloused (mostly on his knuckles and the tops of his palms) and scarred, often at least a little roughed up from battle or training. mercury has long and slim fingers, dexterous and strong. good for fixing things or handling weapons. his grip is firm and sure. he has a harder time with keeping things gentle, has to be a conscious action on his part.
what does your muse usually eat in a day ?
while working he tries to keep his meals as efficient as possible, eating regularly and more or less healthily to keep strength up. he was taught to avoid foods that could upset his stomach and distraction or illness later. he'll make most of his meals so he can keep a low profile and get things done on his own timetable. Also makes a lot of things he can eat on the go or pack with him. outside of work he likes to eat out more, he loves meat and likes to have slow cooked or bbq when he can. he's not too big on sweets, but he loves chips too, crunchy and salty.
does your muse have a good singing voice ?
not the best, he can carry a tune but he doesn't really sing much. the most he'll do is hum along to a song or tap his foot or fingers to the beat. every once in a while he'll sing along to himself quietly in the shower if he knows the song and is in the right mood.
does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks ?
mercury really tries to not have nervous ticks. but he does go stiff if he's truly nervous and starts looking for exit strategies. he may often shift his weight onto one leg to be ready to use his boot greaves more quickly if needed. in general he tends to clean or work on his weapons and prosthetics more often when he's stressed or nervous over longer periods. busy work for his hands that he can try to distract or slow his mind with. as for bad habits: striking first when he thinks he could get hurt (physically or emotionally), hiding from his emotions because its easier, talking while he eats. there's more i'm sure.
what does your muse usually wear ?
generally some kind of baggy cargo pants to hide his prosthetics and offer plenty of pockets. a long sleeve top, whether that's with his vest and armored sleeves or compression sleeves or a regular long sleeve top. he'll say he gets chilly easily, but its really that he feels more vulnerable uncovered. he's most often going to be in blacks or greys/silvers. but tends towards darker clothes even if he does wear other colors.
is your muse affectionate ? How so ?
mercury has a hard time being affectionate, or just trusting people in general. given his upbringing, he isn't used to affection and it can make him feel uncomfortable or just nervous because he isn't sure how to react to it in the moment. if mercury likes or cares for someone he shows that more by teasing them and finding reasons to be with them. he'll also be protective over them. but he doesn't often initiate physical contact or tell people what they mean to him. at most he'll give out a compliment for something skill related or angrily try to talk someone out of doing something stupid.
what position does your muse sleep in ?
on his side, facing the room's entry point. he won't have his back to a window if he can help it and finds his side to be the easiest way to keep his arms mostly unhindered and have quick access to a weapon under his pillow.
could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room ?
not often. in most spaces mercury has lived, it's not safe to be loud. or he's in a situation where he is trying not to bring too much attention to himself. the exceptions to this are if he's angry or working on his legs and getting frustrated. then there may be things thrown.

receiver's muse has just heard of a disaster/emergency involving sender. they've called everyone they can think of. nobody has news.
send "voicemail" for an anxious voicemail receiver's muse leaves for sender
send "call back" for sender to finally have a means of contacting receiver (and receiver will pick up)
send "search" for receiver to find sender, potentially injured/still in danger, but at least they Have Each Other
send "danger" for receiver to find sender recklessly, and now sender and receiver are both in trouble, but at least they're together
send "reunion" for receiver to be there when sender comes to, safe and whole, and recovering well
or if it's sender who's just heard about receiver (reversed):
send "missed call" to see receiver listen to one of sender's worried voice messages
send "what happened" to learn what disaster/emergency it is that has got sender so worried
send "static" to see the ways receiver is trying to let sender know they're OK (and/or why those ways aren't working - broken comms, downed phonelines, etc)
send "location" to see where receiver is & what they're trying to do about it post-disaster: buried alive, trapped in a burning building, down in the amazon after a plane-related disaster, kidnapped, etc
send "collaboration" to see/meet NPC in receiver's life who will help sender to look for receiver. this is especially fun if it's an uneasy alliance etc

no offense to positivity but i love holding grudges and i’m not going to forget about someone who hurt me
mercury watches as daiten examines his face, feeling oddly vulnerable all of a sudden, not used to allowing someone the chance to observe him. he goes carefully still as she reaches toward him, he isn't going to embarrass himself further by flinching, no matter how unused to a gentle hand he has become. the ache accompanying her touch is almost welcome then, familiar in a way that keeps him from pulling back.
" get it? " he's even less sure now that there was anything on his face in the first place, and he can tell that there's a bruise or otherwise damaged skin along his cheekbone as he reaches up to feel where she had touched him, but he doesn't think he minds all that much. " because I think you just wanted an excuse to touch me. " and there's his trademark smirk to try to recover from the intimacy of the moment prior.
worried that he may piece it together too quickly, " here . . . " daiten chooses her next actions carefully ; her gaze searches his face for the nonexistant mark as if there was one truly there, and soon enough she's carefully reaching for his face, gently cupping his cheek to see the mark better just before she swipes her thumb acrossed the skin, leaving aching, discolored skin in it's wake.
