There’s an explanation for this. Suddenly the matter of theme songs were brought up in a skype conversation and all of a sudden I couldn’t stop linking Baccano characters to Disney songs that would be their theme songs. This is one of my favorite scenes in this book, I really wish they’d kept it in the show :(. My thoughts are that either they didn’t have the budget/time, or they didn’t see the point, cause the doctor wasn’t on the train in their version. Still would have loved to see this animated tho.

So I started reading the light novels a few days ago in part because I am desperately curious what kind of interactions (if any) Claire/Felix has with Jacuzzi and his gang; AND THEN THIS HAPPENS IN THE THIRD BOOK!

I CAN’T BELIEVE THE ANIME CUT THIS SEQUENCE I WAS ROBBED!!!

This made me laugh very hard. Mostly kanya. The fact that kanya is dio means she has either watched jjba or just saw the costume and really liked it, and I don’t know which concept is funnier to me.

I can’t tell if this is writing advice about how your world should make a moniker of sense (ie: frogs are not equipped to drink blood like vampires so if you make a blood sucking frog you must actually gove it the ability to suck blood) or if this is some random shitpost made at five am that in reading waaay to deep into

basically, i think the general rule of thumb is: if someone REALLY wants the blood that’s inside of your body, and they’re like… a vampire, or a dracula, or some sort of mansquito, then that’s probably okay. a dracula and a mansquito are made for removing things like blood and swords from inside your body. that’s basically fine.

if something wants to get at your blood, and they’re, say, some kind of murdersaurus, or maybe a really big frog, that’s where the problems start to arise. a really frog is not made for removing blood, and your blood knows this, which is why it is so vehement about wanting to stay IN your body instead of coming out. 

unfortunately this will not deter a really big frog, because a really big frog is full of things like prizes, and value, and quite a lot of hatred, and it would REALLY rather like to replace any and all of those things with your blood, and basically by any means possible.
