This is incredibly true. Anyone who knows me here, it is extremely rare that I will post any spells or rituals to Tumblr or any other social media. I do like to showcase a lot more of the simpler ones here and on my Patreon for beginner witches though, however, most of the spells and rituals that are behind closed doors are much more advanced and allows me to feel comfortable and connected to the spirits I'm working with. Plus, I do have a rule about social media and showcasing my craft and it's this: when shown to others the spell/ritual loses it's sacredness and with others looking in on it will damage the connections that you have built with the spirits, Gods/Goddesses, and the Divine.
It's one thing to feel proud of an altar setup but it's another not to allow yourself the privacy you need in your craft.
Hey witch, here's a reminder: you don't have to show and tell every spell, ritual, or offering you do. Yes, it might look aesthetic, but you dont have to whip out your phone to snap a pic of it. Sometimes there is magic in the privacy of your craft.
