Ravens Valley, from a Storyteller.

I’m not here to teach (or educate) anything to anyone but only as a reminder about the benefits of nature which, has its own limits. Wilderness cleans our air, filters our water and provides home for human as well as for wildlife. So it is crucial for humanity, which is already to blame, to bring radical changes today before it’s entire extinction tomorrow. That is my only intention here folks. So this is what happens around here during a normal Winter day in, The Laurentian Mountains Range.

Miles of walking trails, snowshoeing, ice skating games, snowmobile, dog sledding, outside thermal bath, outdoor fire pit grills with drinks and friends… And whatever you’re up to.

#CoywolfTracks

Some stabbing yip-howls have been heard from the darkness after 3am this morning. And today a couple of tracks like these were found near the house.

These guys are particularly vocal when they're hungry and looking for something to eat as for this time of the year food is getting scarce for wildlife.

Dogs wanted to go out looking for them but for me it is a solid no. Coywolves, who roams the valley here, always hunt in small pack of three. They are extremely vicious and now able to drag down a dear in less then 10sec.

Winter's not over around here yet and it looks like it will never end. So I decided to skip forward the rest of it by throwing back some interesting material sleeping in my personal computer's library until Spring immerge.

So this is a beautiful 3 months old female from the 2022 Raven's family that we named, Big-Sister. And Big-Sister had decided that day to grab a Squirrel leg from the road and bring it to lunch with us; warm thought.

Ravens adore eating chicken eggs and this is for those who haven’t seen one yet. And in the Grand Valley of Chertsey, Québec, Canada this morning it is -24° at 06:35am.
