#FeedingStation
This feeding station for Ravens is located high up on the hill. All feeding stations should always be built the simplest way as possible to not disturb the birds and the environment.
It's just too bad that we can only receive a couple on this one. Which is Jack & Diane, cause Ravens are extremely territorial. But it's ok, these are our preferred ones and when the nesting period is over well, we can enjoy the entire Raven's family to gather here for a big bonanza feast everyday for a couple of weeks.

#MigratingBirds
In Canada, Disturbing Peace of Migrating Birds can be costly.
Daily I see many bloggers that photograph animals most of them, birds. Disturbing peace/habits of migrating birds can cost a lot in Canada.
Some bloggers are willing to go way too far to get very nice clichés of birds for their blog admirers. The ECCC who works to protect wild species in their habitats in Canada, and to make sure law is respected, have caught one of these photographers who was abusing of pre-recording bird's song to attract them in front of his camera to get better photography. This kind of practice in Québec, Canada, is not tolerated. Birds who are resting in their nest are disturbed by the sound and at the same time are more expose to potentially predators.
This kind of bad behavior has been observed twice from that same photographer in two National Reserve Fauna Parks and the man, who plead guilty, has received a much more salty fine.
#Binoculars
I got new binoculars made by Nikon which allows me to see wildlife, not visible to the naked eyes, snooping around far back on these mountains. They are kilometers from here.
These are just the right ones for mountainous excursions. It is 12x50, 6" and more powerful than that, you loose your focus and need a tripod; and won't do any good around here. So I'm very happy with it.

#RavensTerritory
… with all these traces/remains on the ground, we’re definitely trespassing a Raven’s territory. These guys are omnivorous, so they eat practically anything. If I wouldn’t be known by them I wouldn’t stay here much longer. The nesting season have just ended and they are extremely protective of their family.
It is said that Crows have been shown to have the ability to visually recognize individual humans and to transmit information about “bad” humans, to their offspring by squawking. Which I can totally certified.
We’ve been feeding some of them for a while now and they have the habit to visit us in the morning to get some pork meat, liver, and sometimes chicken eggs which they just love.
By the way, this is my longest feather found of a Raven and will definitely be added to my collection. This feather is 15 inches long and makes me very happy.

#HouseKeepers
While I’m gone I know that the house is still safe even when I bring the dogs with me. Their' s always one, two or more friends that keep an eye on the property. These guys are able to produce very horrible noises that will give you goosebumps and can even attack, if they sense that there is no purpose for the intruder to be around (humans or animals). Ravens are extremely territorial.
