Honestly, I can't stress enough how "They're only human" fits aligned! Shockwave and Alpha Trion.

Like, on one hand, the female part is made for AT, cuz it has a lot of mentions of "fate", "chances" and ect. He isn't a transformer as others are, he sees future, so he can easily play the role of the God who is very curious of this more grounded relationships. A-3 had those with others primes, but since they all left the planet (at least he thinks they did), he can't have even relations, cuz he's busy (decoding covenant) and the others would never be able to sympathize with his problems/duties. Yet he doesn't put himself on the pedestal, for he's already saw that primes are no saints in any way, shape or form. So while he's unable to connect with others, he doesn't make a king of himself, giving this role to others (Sentinel, Optimus). Sometimes Alpha Trion goes with the flow too much, not doing anything when it's needed.

On the other hand there's Shockwave. The 'human' in this situation, but who considers himself more than it. He is the scientist, ruled by his perception of logic and has no sympathy for others, if it gets results. And he is bored by classicist system and others, cuz they don't see what he sees. Shocky wants to know more and more, which makes him ruthless. Yet the lyric "..never knowing their truth is another man's lie" fits really well. Shockwave is one of the few, who knows AT's secret, so he may consider some historical facts as lies, and myths as truth (Alpha trion has a record of lying about existence of some prime relics)

I'll probably never get the chance to draw it, but it fits a little too much.

Well, while I write long ahh first chapter of fanfic abt Breakdown, I want to talk about his partner, Knock Out. It's an addition to this post , specifically KO's reasons to join Decepticons.

Basically, my headcanon is that he never wanted to join. KO was a medic, which was pretty high in a Cybertronian caste system, so he didn't care much for slaves. Knock Out has never went to Kaon or Slaughter City, cuz he lived far away from them. So when the war started our hot doctor had no intentions of joining Decepticons, cuz he is basically something this faction hated. Yet he wasn't given much choice, when his residence got attacked very early in the war. Citizens and KO himself try to protect their home, but instead of leaving, former slaves occupied this place. After some battles, city lost and Knock Out had to give in, so he won't be abused/killed. He never was loyal to their cause, he just wanted to survive. And once he did join it never was comfortable, sensing his own unstable position. As it was shown in TFP Knock Out is necessary only until he can provide something useful for Megatron (in his case: medical care). Ofc he won't be killed or left for dead, but it doesn't mean he won't be mocked/scratched. I think this hc matches his pretty cowardly personality and explain his rather quick change of fractions.

But "Why" You might ask "our hottie would stay if he never believed Megatron's ideas?". I hc that he's scared for his life. Between decepticons, that possessed more than 80% of the planet their fighting for and have most of the energon's supplies, and Autobots, that are persecuted and are in minority, the safest (not the best, but safest) is the former. KO knows how Megatron treats his pupil, and might have even guessed that Autobots are different, but even when they left Cybertron, Megatron's party is still more stable.

Honestly, I want to talk abt KOBD for a sec. Don't get me wrong, you can hc whatever you want, but no matter how much I love their pairing, I'm not fond of thinking that KO became a decepticon only cuz he fell in love with our beloved brute. Idk, I think it takes something from doctor's character. Like if we think a bit we can deduce BD's reasons to join. And KO doesn't have it which makes him a bit... Plain??? I guess??

Again, you can headcanon whatever you want, but I just don't believe in this love at first sight or even that doctor's willing to sacrifice his own finish for someone ever.

I hc that KOBD met when they both were already decepticons and fell in love after. And here's some hcs as a treat.

When Breakdown entered KO's live he became less stiff. When Knock Out joined he was more preserved, for he was scared to say too much. But this blue bot made him feel safer and more comfortable, since now he had someone who won't kill you for your opinions and feelings. And red con also made yellow eyed bot happier. After loosing his old friends he finally found someone to care about and who cares about you back unconditionally. They're in love. And even the coldest corridors of Nemesis were warmer, when KOBD were together.

Ok, scrap it, I'm gonna talk about Wallflower duo (Fit and Philza) and no one's gonna stop me.

They're THE duo for me. Since the day one they were inseparable always being by each other side, going on adventures together, bringing kids, sharing game breaking hacks. They honestly fall for a dynamic of "the guy with paranoia is a bestie with a dude with THE most dark secrets", but they're making it work. Philza is very paranoid and always kept an eye on his eggs, especially after Slime tried to kill Chayanne in his sleep and Quackity trying to kidnap Tallulah. Yet he gave Fit access to the kids bedroom and told everything he knew to him. And Fit responded with the same amount of trust. He is a person from 2b2t and doesn't trust a soul, but he shared every bit of info he got, and shared his secret room. It's a huge step for someone from the server, where you couldn't share even a little peak of coordinates. Yet he let Phil on the secret. Throughout all the Qsmp they were together. Fit was there when eggs first disappeared, and for presidential dinner. When Phil logged back to the server, his anarchy bestie was right there to fill him in, and even when everyone got tped out if area, Fit still somehow got back and told "I'm with you, Phil". And healed him near the end of the battle. When crow father had any meetings with someone he didn't trust (Happy pills Forever), he'd ask Fit to spy on them, and vice versa. And the last bit that makes me rotate them in my head 24/7, a cage for a cage moment. Fit always hesitated to break the rules, not to lose a job. Even for morning crew he had to be persuaded to go to the nether. But once Philza asked if he knew how to make lavacasts, he didn't ask anything. They both broke the rules together. And after crow was caught and released, our bald fella keeps an eye on him. "I know you for a long time, Phil, you're not the one to hallucinate". And this bird accident from tomorrow's stream.... Man, they're the besties. Also Fit having a micro separation anxiety attack after he lost Phil out of sight for a few seconds was as funny as it was sad.

They're in this together and they know it. They've got each other's back and are confident in each other.
