Hello to all my followers and everyone else! A/N: What’s this? A Dazai fic that’s NOT angst?? A miracle! I had this idea after this abomination happened on my side blog: post  So enjoy!

It all started innocently, really

Dazai and Arthur were terrorizing poor apple boy™ in the game room

When a shy knock sounded through the room, followed by your head peeping in

“Ah, hello MC! What brings you here?” Arthur immediately exclaimed

“Uh, well, I’ve just been wondering... If strippers are exotic dancers, are drug dealers exotic pharmacists?”

silence

You looked around the room, not really getting why was everyone so quiet all of a sudden

Arthur looked like he was seriously pondering on the question, while Isaac looked more shocked than anything and Dazai... Were his eyes sparkling??

yes, they were

And can you blame him? That was such a beautiful question! And one look at a confused Arthur and Isaac, whose mind loked like it just broke down, it made him infatuated with you more than ever!

When Arthur finally admitted defeat (Isaac had escaped the room without saying anything, but neither of you really paid attention) and said he didn’t know, but would think about it, you shrugged and went on with your day.

And that’s how Dazai started crushing on you, congrats!

Another time, Arthur had invited you along with Theo for some drinks

You didn’t actually gone out, but rather stole borrowed some alcohol from Comte’s stash and took it to the game room.

Let’s just say, it was a bit strong and incredibly old

So when Dazai popped by to see what’s going on, he saw Arthur and Theo arguing over a game of chess, while you were laying on the sofa in the room.

Noticing the nearly empty bottle of the ancient booze, he smiled to himself and decided to stay.

None of you really minded

When Arthur and Theo finally stopped their bickering, Theo noticed your expression, deep in thought you were

“Oi, hondje, what’s on your mind?” he asked trying to hide his curiosity

At first, you tried to wave him off, saying he wouldn’t want to hear it, but that only made everyone more curious, so when Arthur pressed on with his “Come on, a penny for your thoughts?”, you gave in, while Dazai watched in anticipation

“Okay, so..” you started, trying to gather your thoughts “You can’t tell me- There’s no way there has never gone anything between Comte and Leonardo. No way. Like, have you seen them interact with eachother? I’m sorry, but those two look like they fuck at least once a few months.” you ended your speach.

Needless to say, everyone was shocked by your boldness

After giving it some thought, Theo took a good swig from the bottle, Arthur muttering a quiet “Oh god...” before nearly shouting “What have you done?! Now I’m never gonna be able to get that out of my mind!”

Dazai could just hug you right on the spot

If he wasn’t in love with you before, he sure as hell was now

He’d spent much more time with you, pulling every random thought he could from your brain, more often than not inviting you for a drink or two to help you

The endless possibilities, the long conversations... It truly made him happy, YOU truly made him happy

Yep, he’s not letting you go ;)

This was so well written, it was honestly so sad. The more I learn about Dazai the more I relate to him and though it is not a good thing, it brings me some sort of twisted peace. Especially this fic, I swear I could repate to most of Dazai's feelings you've so beautifully described. I could pinpoint all the sentences and hell, even paragraphs that made my heart squeez with familiarity in my chest, but I'd quote half of the fic here, so I'll spare you. I want to praise you and your skills and the sheer beauty of this piece but I am out of words, there are none that could further explain the feelings in me right now. But trust me, if there were, I'd write them all down.
