Purely self indulgent character design for Marlfoxes (from Brian Jacques' Redwall novels)..... They're described as 'mottled' and I've never seen anyone show that!

Last Camp NaNoWriMo I worked on a Redwall fanfiction that takes place somewhere between the events of Mattimeo and Pearls of Lutra. Although this wasn’t the original plan the story ended up focusing a lot on Rollo, who is now in his teenage years trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life. He develops a love of illuminated manuscripts that leads to his future life as the Abbey Recorder. Even as a baby in the events of Mattimeo he had an uncanny ability to figure out puzzles and notice things others don’t, perfect traits for the Recorder!

Y’all remember that part in Rakkety Tam where Gulo (threatening to eat Tam) goes “your heart belongs to me!” And then Tam answers word for word “i could not give my heart to one as ugly as ye. ‘Tis promised to a fair pretty maid!”

Kids is an already queercoded lone bachelor who’s never shown interest in romance one way or the other adopting a kid of a difference species and becoming his family queer-coded or has the queer redwall brainrot gotten to me
