its not from the list but if your characters were tvshows what non-canon ships do you think their fandom would ship

Okay I love this question SO much and got way too into it.

Before I start, most of my characters are bi, pan, etc, but Ambrose is gay so while there would probably still be some ships with female characters I will not mention them

Ambrose Varyn

The main two characters I can think of that might be shipped with Ambrose are Garreth and NPC Odysseus

When Garreth asked Ambrose to get the feathers and Billywigs my man did NOT hesitate. It was because he's secretly a bastard and needed some light mischief, but I could definitely see that sparking some shippers

NPC Odysseus, which is a version of Odysseus that's a squib and doesn't go to Hogwarts and is there to flesh out Ominis' storyline

He gets to talk to Ambrose and they have some scenes together that could DEFINITELY result in shippers, from fluff to angst to hurt/comfort

Percival Valley

There would definitely be ships with both of the Sallow twins

After Percival takes Anne's curse the two spend a lot of time together, not to mention Percival sacrificed his health for her after meeting her once

Sebastian throws himself into finding a cure which, now that the cursed person isn't Anne, could very much be seen as romantic

Percy and Amit have a very sweet dynamic and a lot of things in common, so that could be a ship

The other one I can think of is Samantha Dale, a girl who Percival becomes bond with very quickly because he literally has no other friends at the time, and Garreth even had a mini arc where he's jealous of her

Idris Valley.l

Sebastian. Sebastian. Sebastian.

I cannot express to you the ship wars that would be waged over Idris x Amit and Idris x Sebastian. They're completely ride or die, spending so much time opening up to each other and just bonding in general

Another big one would be Leander Prewett. Idris has a rivals-to-friends arc with Leander already but we all know how much fandom loves a good rivals-to-lovers

I guess I could see Garreth, they have a very playful and fun dynamic but I feel like this ship would mainly be a side pairing in Percival/Amit fics

Odysseus Carrow

I don't have anything fully figured out for Ody so there's so many possibilities

Enemies to lovers with Leander, opposites attract with Poppy, growing together with Natty, there's so much

But no matter which one ended up "canon" the other popular ship would be Ominis

They're platonic soulmates but they're an arranged marriage couple, childhood friends, and are so close they have a telepathic link

The potential is there

Ambrose Varyn - Slytherin -> Hufflepuff

Ambrose ended up in Slytherin mainly because of his stubbornness and independence. No matter what it is, if he feels he needs to he will put aside his morals without a second thought. He will always do whatever it takes to get what he wants. That trumped the other massive piece of him, the main reason he'd throw his morals away: his loyalty. Outside of his resourcefulness his loyalty is a core part of himself and what fuels most of his actions. The entire plot is spawned because of Ambrose's loyalty to and trust in Fig.

Percival Valley - Ravenclaw -> Gryffindor

Now Percival ended up in Ravenclaw almost before the hat got on his head, but it's not all he has. Percival wants absolutely nothing to do with Ancient Magic and goblins and poachers. In fact he's terrified of all of the above. But every time he squares his shoulders and does it anyway. That screams bravery to me.

Idris Valley - Gryffindor -> Slytherin

I can't say toooo much about Idris without massive spoilers for A Mourning Warning but they were a six minute hat stall between Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. For this they ended up in Slytherin the same reason Ambrose did, their willingness to do anything, ANYTHING, it takes if they feel they need to. Everyone else be damned.

Odysseus Carrow - Hufflepuff -> Ravenclaw

Odysseus was put in Hufflepuff because literally everything he does is out of loyalty to his family, and what he did was work his ass off at any magic that didn't require actual magic. That made him a potions and herbologt master before he was even fifteen. That takes some damn cleverness
