Jotaro x reader :: Flowers

Jotaro was getting off of work late. The last time he texted you was six hours ago. You sighed, exiting the texting app and switching to another app to scroll for another hour.

You had a crappy day, further emphasized by the fact that you hadn’t seen your husband for the majority of it. You missed him dearly, yet at the same time you felt as if you were being too needy. After all, he had business to attend to, and you couldn’t be by his side all the time.

The most you could do is hope that he’s not having any trouble whatever he’s doing. He was passionate about his profession, but was no stranger to overworking himself, whether purposely or on accident. The idea of texting him again just to check in went through your mind. However, just as your fingers pressed the letters, the door opened.

Quickly getting up, you assumed that had to be Jotaro.

And right you were, there he was, fumbling through the front door with his keys and bag in one hand and a bundle of flowers in the other. You tilted your head like a confused puppy. Jotaro? Bringing flowers home? It must’ve been for some kind of research or event at his job.

After setting his things on the table, he lets out a breathy sigh. His chest was heaving up and down, had he been running? You walk up besides him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. He slowly turns to you, finally standing upright. The flowers are bashfully gestured towards you, his teal eyes avoiding your gaze as he hands them over.

“Oh...oh! Jotaro, are these for me?”

He gives a silent nod. “I know I’ve been gone longer than usual this week, so I wanted to get your favorite flowers to make up for it. I don’t know if you’re into this stuff, but I hope you like them at least.”

You could feel your heart melt. Grabbing the flowers, you lovingly stared both at them and your husband for an extended amount of time. Standing on your tip-toes, you pressed a kiss against his temple, added with a hug around his tall figure.

“They’re perfect, thank you Jotaro.”
