OH MY GOD !!!
I love this, Red is so feral in this ;)
okay am actually obsessed with feral reader & i saw you’re taking prompts/requests!! so how would feral reader react to joel being injured 👀 either while on patrol in wyoming or on their journey there w ellie
Aww thank you!! I'm so happy people have taken to her! And yesssss I'd had something along this line roughly in my head so I'm definitely down with this prompt!

Beast Joel Miller x fem!reader The Last of Us (Show/Game) 2.3k Words Warning: Gore, violence! Really putting the feral in Feral Reader lol
Later, she’d tear herself apart because they knew better. They knew to stay in pairs, knew to still be cautious, knew to not be so casual about the trips to the outskirt cities during patrols. It didn’t matter how long they’d been at Jackson, they knew what life was like outside the walls and it wasn’t something they could be nonchalant about. Complacency led to death and Jackson gave you a taste of that life. Life before a monstrous fungus destroyed everything. They were paying for that delusion now.
She grit her teeth at the sound of flesh hitting flesh, of Joel’s growl of pain and anger coming from around the corner where she was hiding. Something had felt off and she’d come back only to find he had been ambushed, wrist shackled to a pipe low to the ground and cut on his forehead bleeding down into his eye. The bruise blossoming on his cheek told her he’d already taken a few punches.
From her hiding spot, she could see there were two guys in the room with him. One crouched down holding a knife close to Joel, blood smeared across his face from a busted lip and black eye already forming. The other was standing closest to her, watching what was unfolding with a pistol hanging loosely in his hand. She almost snarled at the site of the blood spreading from Joel’s side, turning her favorite denim shirt dark red from some injury she couldn’t fully see. He was as angry as she was, brow heavy and glaring up at the two with a sneer. It was a stare that had promised violence, had signed death warrants and delivered it. They’d hurt him. They’d hurt Joel. It wasn’t an impossible thing. He was human. She’d seen them get into fights before, but this time they’d cornered him and there was no Ellie barrier. No leash that told her to be quick and efficient and not freak the kid out. No second focus for her. No one besides Joel to protect. All she could feel was rage because they’d hurt one of her people and were enjoying it, grins on their faces and chuckles leaving their throats. Her hackles raised, teeth grit together to the point her jaw hurt, as her hand gripped the bow she’d brought. They had planned to hunt. Got tired of dinner experiments and attempts to cook so they were going back to what they knew. Hunting wasn’t entirely off the table, just a different kind of prey was the target. She’d have to move fast. Move before the one closest to Joel could hurt him, move before they could react and shoot either of them. She didn’t have the same brutal strength her partner did but she was quick and quiet and that was all she needed. Taking a deep breath, she swiveled around the corner and drew the bowstring back taut, feeling it almost kiss her cheek before releasing with a quiet swish. It was fast and at close range the arrow hit home hard and brutally into the back of the guy closest to her’s skull.
A choked gasp left his throat from the impact then he was sliding to his knees, crumpling and drawing the other’s attention. Even in the chaos she could see Joel’s eyes flick over, take her in as she ran in a dead sprint towards the one crouched by him. He was still kneeling, knife in hand, but he was slow to react. In the back of her mind, she wondered how these men could have gotten the jump on him. Maybe all the jokes about him getting older were starting to ring true, her complaints about settlement life making them complacent coming back to haunt them. Domesticated. They’d been domesticated and for some reason that pissed her off more. The stranger hadn’t managed to get off the ground fast enough and instead was the perfect height for her to get the bow around his neck and yank him hard into her knee. He choked and wheezed, arms flailing as she growled and pulled. She pulled with all her strength, using her arm strength to keep the bow as tight against his windpipe as she could while her knee pushed him harder and harder into it. Ellie had asked once if they had ever snapped anyone’s necks. Like in the movies where they simply yank the goon’s head slightly in the other direction and it cracks, easy peasy. She’d told her it wasn’t that easy. Spines and necks are actually a lot tougher, can take a lot of strain and usually need a lot of pressure to break. Right now she wished it was that simple. Wanted to see how much pressure she could drive into his spine before that crack would reach her ears. The guy finally stopped flailing in panic and decided to use the knife still in his hand, stabbing wildly over his shoulder in an attempt to reach her and get her off him.
Joel was bucking and yanking at the cuffs, yelling as he attempted to get free or reach them to help. His hand was turning purple from the pressure and the blood in his side was spreading even more. She wanted to tell him to quit it, to think and focus because he was only hurting himself.
Both her hands were starting to hurt from the strain of pulling the bow and he wasn’t going down. With a hiss, the knife managed to skim her shoulder, slicing through her shirt sleeve. It was a gamble but she couldn’t keep it up, was going to exhaust herself before the guy would be out. When the stranger went to stab her again, she dropped the bow abruptly and grabbed his arm, wrenching it far back and ripping the knife from his grip as he screamed in pain. The knife found its home soon after, stabbed into the side of his head, cutting off the sound of his strained gasps. Jerking it back out, she took deep breaths while holding the knife, panting and watching the body collapse at her feet. There was silence for a bit, the slight clinking of the cuffs rattling against the pipes all she could hear for a second and adrenaline shooting through her veins. She enjoyed that silent moment after the fight was over where all she could hear was the sound of her heartbeat and lungs expanding and collapsing. It was the sound of still being alive. Joel’s eyes found hers and she relaxed a bit, seeing the way they burned. Either from want, gratefulness, wonder, she wasn’t sure. But never fear or disgust and that’s all she cared about. He was safe, they were alive, the people were dead. And maybe that small moment with him was what distracted her right before a third attacker came barreling in, tackling her to the ground. The man was big and angry and screaming in her face. The tackle had put her at a disadvantage, shoving her onto her back with her arms pinned between their bodies along with the knife. She couldn’t get her harms free or make any room to get leverage against him. The third attacker was heavy and her breath had been knocked out of her. She struggled to gulp in the air, to get breath into her lungs, before the man’s hands were around her neck. Joel was shouting her name. The man was spitting and yelling so close to her she could feel the spit land on her skin while his hands squeezed. They were big, were wrapped all around her neck easily. All she could do was buck like a trapped animal, teeth and claws bared as she struggled wildly under his weight. If she got taken out, Joel would be next. If she died, Joel would die. He couldn’t get free, couldn’t get back to Jackson and Tommy, couldn’t get back to Ellie. Her throat was raw and lungs burned, her mind desperately trying to find a solution but all she could hear ringing in her ears was Joel’s yells. The man was almost nose to nose with her, dirty face twisted in rage.
As hard as she could muster, she smashed her head into her attackers, feeling the clatter of bones and teeth shake her skull. He shouted and jerked back, hands loosening just a bit. Not enough she could get her arms free, but enough that she rushed forward and latched onto his neck with her teeth. She clamped down as hard as she could. His skin was dirty and salty and bile rose but she bit down harder and harder. Flesh tore beneath her teeth and blood rushed into her mouth, metallic and sharp, as he screamed and tried to get away from her. It only helped her to do more damage, ripping the skin. Jackson was home, but it wouldn’t tone her down. If anything, it gave her more to protect, more things she would tear herself apart to keep safe. She’d rip the throat out of anyone who dared to hurt what was hers. The man rolled off of her, desperately trying to cover the large hole in his neck as blood flooded out. She spat out the chunk of flesh with a growl and turned over with a hard swing of her hand, the knife skimming off bone before sinking into his chest with a hard thud. There was a wet gurgling sound coming from him and she panted, spitting some of the blood in her mouth onto his body. There was no appreciating the silence this time, no letting the rage simmer down. It stuck to her, hot and bright, like the blood coating her mouth and jaw. “Which one had the handcuffs?” she bit out and almost startled herself at how rough and raspy her voice came out. It felt raw, painful, but she swallowed past it and climbed unsteadily to her feet. Joel’s face was a mask as he took her in, took in the three bodies around him and the blood covering her. He didn’t say anything, only jerked his head at the guy with the shiner she had attempted to strangle. Her body didn’t feel grounded, a second delay in her processing making her feel out of it, but she focused on the taste of copper on her tongue and roughly went through the guys pockets searching for the key. Her fingers wrapped around a small piece of metal and she sighed in relief, thankful she wasn’t going to have to find a way to break the pipe and get the cuffs cut off in Jackson. Joel still didn’t say anything as she walked over and kneeled heavily in front of him, hands going to the cuffs and working to get them undone. His hand and wrist were torn up from all the yanking he had done and she was thankful it wasn’t his dominant one or he’d be pissed. Not broken, but the skin was bruised and purple and would need one of the doctors to look at it along with the wound in his side. The metal clicked and she pulled his hand free, not letting go, instead checking it over completely before she cupped his cheek and took in the gash on his forehead. “Hey,” he bit out the word, eyes dark and lips pressed together into a hard frown. She ignored him, focusing on checking him over and taking a mental log of all his injuries. She should have killed them slower. “We’ll have to scrap this run and get you looked at. I don’t trust those cuffs and the last thing we need is you getting infected,” muttering, she yanked up the bottom of his shirt without even asking and took in the long gash along his ribs, “You’ll need stitches. I can also see if Maria can get the blood out of the shirt and maybe patch the hole. This one’s a good one, I don’t want you to have to throw it away.” Joel growled her name again, this time louder, and grabbed her chin roughly in his hand to force her focus onto his face.
She clenched her jaw under his fingers, swallowing blood and pain. Waited for the beratement, the breakdown of what went wrong and the self-punishment he liked to give himself so often. Waited for the potential disgust at the violence. But she wouldn’t apologize. He’d seen her do worse for less and she wouldn’t apologize for protecting him.
Instead, he watched her and took in the hard line of her brow, the blood drying across her mouth and chin and smeared all over, the bright fire of rage still burning in her eyes. And then he yanked her forward, kissing her hard and brutally, practically pulling her into his lap.
He didn’t cringe away at the taste of someone else’s blood on her tongue, of the way those teeth had ripped into someone a few moments before. He drank her in desperately, uninjured hand diving into her hair and tightening on the strands. The pain was still there. Her throat was raw and his hand stung as it clung to her side, knife wound bleeding even as he brought her onto his thighs. They both didn’t care, swallowing the other’s gasps of pain and pleasure.
Her whole body relaxed in his grip as if to say he’s okay, he’s okay, he’s okay and she let herself hold him tight and kiss him.
He would never say thank you. It was a process to get the words dragged out of him, but with him his actions always spoke louder. His fingers skimming her throat whispered that he would have killed them himself if he could, his tongue against hers spoke of his acceptance, his tight grip on her was his gratefulness.
Joel didn’t pull away from her, didn’t try and change her, and she’d rip the whole world apart for him for that fact alone. He was her family and she protected what was hers.

This Is s cute. I love Percy ❤
Debutante ball
Percy x reader
Summary: reader attends a finishing school and is being forced by her mother to take someone else to the upcoming debutante ball, not her boyfriend, Percy. How will Percy react to this information?
Warnings: sad Percy :((
A/n: someone requested hurt comfort with Percy, Nico or Leo and I said I was gonna do a crossover but I got this idea instead so I hope you enjoy!
—————————————————-
Going to a finishing school meant you had to take part in many customs and traditions you didn't want to be a part of or just didn't agree with the idea. Your mom had put you into finishing school in exchange for letting you go camp Half-Blood in the summer. Why couldn't she have simply sent you because you're half Greek God, you didn't know. All you knew was that if you wanted to see your friends and your boyfriend again, you had to do what she said.
And her latest, by far the most ridiculous request, was for you to partake in a debutante ball. You didn't even know what that was until you attended that boring meeting of the Garden club with your mom. And what you found out what outrageous. They're basically auctioning off their daughters to sons of rich people because you're "of age."
Of age for what? One might ask. Marriage! Your mother was planning your marriage when you were just sixteen! You begged your mom to just let you stay at camp, but she wouldn't budge. One good thing was that your friend Rachel from camp was also going to be there since she attended finishing school with you. That would definitely make it more sufferable.
“Y/n!” your mom called as you packed for camp.
“Yeah?” you responded.
“Do you have a pair of elbow-length pigskin gloves?” your mom asked as if it was a normal thing to own.
You furrowed your brows, rolling your eyes at the question. “Mom in what world would I buy elbow length pigskin gloves?” You asked sarcastically, zipping up your bag just as your mom entered the room and stood by the door.
“Well if you don’t have a pair then we’re going to have to get you one,” she stated.
“Is there any way I can ditch this thing? It’s so stupid! Why do I need to be presented to society?” You groaned in annoyance.
“So you can meet a nice guy and marry rich someday,” she smiled sweetly, coming to tuck your hair behind your ears.
“Umm, I literally have a boyfriend whom I love very much!” You protested.
“Yeah, he’s great!” Your mom agreed. “To pass the time. He isn’t the kind to settle down with.”
Anger bubbled inside of you out of protectiveness for Percy. The two of you had been through a lot together and he had put his life on the line multiple times to save yours. Your mom would never understand how deep the connection between you and Percy went.
You glared at your mother as she turned around to exit the room.
“Oh, before I forget,” she turned around. “You know the Vanderbilt’s older son? The handsome one?” Your mom asked.
“Rafe?” You questioned, recalling the stuck up brunette you met at the Garden club meeting who seemed to have taken a liking to you.
“Yes!” She grinned. “He’s gonna be your escort to the ball.” She beamed and walked out.
Great! So not only were you being forced to attend this thing, you couldn’t even decide who escorted you.
Ten minutes after the very annoying conversation with your mother, you stood in front of your house, duffel bag slung over one shoulder, and a hood drachma in the other hand to summon the chariot of damnation to take you to CHB.
A dangerously fast car ride later, you arrived at the entrance of camp. You were filled with excitement to see your friends from camp half blood and camp Jupiter who were going to stay for a few days. You couldn’t wait to tell them all about school and what you’ve been up to and hearing their stories as well. How greatly you had missed singing at bonfire while cuddling with Percy, even the grumpiness of Mr. D that never failed to make you laugh.
Most of all, you just wanted to hug Percy, to be able to kiss him when you wanted, to have his corny jokes right there when you were feeling down.
Giddily, you hopped out of the car and walked into the entrance of camp half blood.
Immediately, you identified the two figures running towards and grinned, running as well to meet them.
Piper clashed into you, wrapping her arms around you tightly while shrieking in your ear, “you’re here! You’re here! You’re here!” You laughed out loud and held her back just as tightly having missed the brunette dearly while you were away.
When she pulled away, you saw Leo Valdez looking a lot more tan and taller than you remembered him. He was really handsome in the handyman’s clothes, you had to admit but you wouldn’t dare voice those thoughts because you knew you’d never hear the end of it.
“Hey Leo!” You grinned, getting pulled in for a hug by the son of Aries.
“Hey Y/n!” He rocked the both of you side to side. You laughed. “How’ve you been?” He asked.
“I’ve been good! Oh my god, I have so much to tell you guys!” You said excitedly.
“Well don’t tell us standing here! Get settled in,” Piper said. “Go see Percy,” she bumped your shoulder with hers and a small blush crept up your neck. “And then we can all meet at the Poseidon table in an hour?” She suggested.
You and Leo nodded. “Sounds good.”
Setting your bag down in your cabin, you excitedly headed towards the Poseidon cabin, happy about finally being able to see Percy.
You knocked once on the door and it swung open a couple of seconds later. Percy stood in a black t-shirt and a pair of white soccer shorts, looking devastatingly handsome with this tan and messy hair that fell into his eyes. It was like you were falling in love all over again.
“Y/n!” He shrieked in excitement, lifting you off the ground and spinning you in a circle while hugging you tightly. You giggled loudly.
“Hello to you too,” you grinned once he set you down. “Miss me?”
“You have no fucking idea,” he said before closing his mouth over your lips in a longing kiss. His arms wound around your waist tightly and your hands rested on his forearms as he leaned more into you. Percy pulled away and rested his forehead against yours, both of you breathless. “How are you, babe?” He asked.
“I’m good! How are you?” You replied.
Percy chuckled. “I’m good too.” And kissed you once more.
“Come on, we’re supposed to be meeting everyone at the Poseidon table,” you grabbed his hand and started to lead him out.
“Wait but I just got you back,” Percy protested. “Can’t I have a few minutes alone with my beautiful girlfriend,” he pulled you back, smiling at your blush.
“Fine,” you playfully rolled your eyes. “Only cause you called me beautiful.” Percy laughed out loud.
After a few more minutes of hugging, laughing, and talking (and kissing), you dragged Percy to the tables with a smug smile while Percy groaned behind you. He loved all his friends but the man just wanted some time alone with his girlfriend. Is that too much to ask?
"Hey guys!" you greeted as you approached the Poseidon table seating all your friends: Nico, Will, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo, Rachel, and Grover. And Annabeth.
One by one, everyone hugged you (even Nico), and settled down to finally catch up with everything going on in everyone's lives. Percy talked about whatever bully he made drink toilet water and you kissed his cheek, Annabeth talked about how fun school could have been only if other people weren't there, and Frank and Hazel talked about training at camp Jupiter and how annoying Octavian has gotten. Well, Hazel talked and Frank just stared at her like she hung the stars. You found that adorable. Piper talked about what she "stole" this school year and how she convinced the bullies to stay off hers and everyone else's tails, Jason talked about some changes they're introducing at Camp Jupiter, and finally, you and Rachel talked about the ridicule of the finishing school and of course, the upcoming ball.
"What do you do at it?" Leo asked.
"You get presented to society," Rachel cringed.
"And that means?" Frank asked.
"You put on a pretty dress and walk out in front of a bunch of rich snobs to have their pick, then you dance with the sons of rich snobs while desperately wishing for the night to be over," you explained.
"I've never been to one," Annabeth said. "But I'm pretty sure you need someone to escort you. and your father, of course."
"My mom's new boyfriend is gonna come with me," you said. "And as for the escort, Rafe Vanderbilt is doing the honors."
"How'd you get him to agree? literally every girl at the Garden club meeting was raving about him," Rachel asked.
"I'm charming," you beamed. "But, really, my mom managed to set him up as my escort." Rachel nodded in understanding.
"I'm probably going with Nate," she said.
"Oh, he's cute," you encouraged her. "Good for you!"
You started having a conversation with Rachel about the ball and everyone started talking amongst themselves having not seen each other in eight months.
“Hey,” Percy interjected, pulling on your elbow. “Why is this Rafe guy taking you?” He asked, a bit of hurt in his voice.
“It’s nothing personal,” you stroked his cheek. “My mom just picked him because she thinks he’s handsome and well mannered. He’s a stuck up asshole and good thing is I never have to have contact with him again. You have nothing to worry about, okay?” You said gently.
“I guess,” Percy muttered, shoulders sagging.
Picking up on his bad mood, you stood up. “Hey, guys, I think Percy and I are gonna go take a nap. We’ll see you guys at lunchtime.”
"Okay." "See ya."
You and Percy headed to the Poseidon cabin and the whole way Percy looked at the ground, kicking rocks as he went. Once inside, you closed the door and sat on the bed opposite each other with your legs crossed.
"Tell me what's up," you asked Percy, gently taking a hold of his fidgeting hands and lacing your fingers through his.
"Nothing is wrong," he muttered.
"Obviously something is. Otherwise, you'd be making dirty jokes right now."
Percy smiled a little.
"Talk to me, handsome."
"I just don't understand why I can't take you to the ball. I know I'm not part of that high society you are in, but that doesn't mean I'm not good enough! I can learn whatever you need me to learn. Do you want me to dance? I'll learn to dance," Percy ranted.
Your hands left his and gently cupped his face, tipping his chin up to meet your eyes. They were slightly watery and your heart shattered into a million pieces.
"Percy, please don't tie your self-worth to this stupid event. I didn't pick this guy, okay? My mom did! I don't want to go with him. I would never even think of anyone other than you," you reasoned.
"Why is your mom forcing you to go with this guy if you don't want to?" he asked.
"Because she's like that. I understand she wants what's best for me but unfortunately, our opinions on what's best for me don't match at all," you frowned. "I promise, love, it's got nothing to do with you. She just wants me to socialize and get accepted into these high society clubs and stuff. I won't let this separate us, okay? We have been through too much together to let a petty thing like this come between us."
Percy nodded in agreement. "Okay then, I guess I can't do anything about it." He accepted defeat.
You thought about it more a moment before perking up. "I mean if you just happened to be there and just happened to ask me to dance, she can't say anything." Percy perked up at the idea, a smile immediately taking over his beautiful face.
"Really?" he asked.
"I mean its not my fault you were there coincidentally," you shrugged mischievously.
"Of course not," Percy mocked your tone.
You both smirked at the plan you made, not dreading the ball so much anymore.
"I love you, Percy," you said, holding his face. "Never forget that."
"I love you, too, n/n. I'm sorry I got so jealous." Percy kissed you sweetly and the two of you decided to continue plotting your plan after waking up from a much-needed nap.
Empty Bottles & Truthful Words
Author talks: I am so sorry for posting after a million years.
Summary: Azriel had decided to get drunk, and the following morning some truth surfaces.
Warning: Nothing much except for drunk Azriel.
Lots of love, Saph ❤

You and Azriel were best friends and as cliché as it was, you were in love with him and hoped that in some odd scenario, he would love you too. It was supposed to be a normal day, and frankly, it was, but little did you know that when you went to open the door after hearing someone knocking on it, it would turn out to be the best day of your life.
You have known Azriel for nearly 3 centuries and never had you seen him this drunk, and you could most definitely feel the drunken haziness through the mate bond, that you decided to perpetually ignore knowing that the bat-boys would have most probably gone to Rita's to enjoy the weekend.
Yes, Azriel was your mate and he was blissfully unaware of it. The bond clicked a little over 6 months ago when you two were sharing a quiet and peaceful moment at the library and you trying to watch Azriel discreetly when the mate bond clicked and you had to leave the room rather quickly so that he wouldn't have any suspicion, only to be cornered by Rhysand who seemed rather cocky about the same. Now everybody other than Azriel knew about your mate bond.
You made them all swear that they wouldn't say anything as you waited for Azriel to feel the same.
You snapped out of the memories when Azriel let out an excited exclamation of your name which definitely tipped you in about his drunken state.
He quickly left Cassian's side and stumbled towards you and if you hadn't steadied him he would have most definitely fallen down.
Azriel nuzzled your neck and kept mumbling something neither you nor Cassian was able to understand, "I have got it from here, Cass, thank you for getting him here."
You could see that Cassian was worried he left bidding you good night and told you to call him if his brother got a little too much for you to handle, he finally relented and left when you gave him an exasperated look as if you couldn't handle your Illyrian baby.
"Az, come on, let's get you to bed," you mumbled as you tried to get Azriel to your bedroom. "Won't you take me out on a date first ?" he giggled, you would have flushed red if it was any other time, but you merely rolled your eyes as you were too busy to make sure you both did not stumble on your way.
You had successfully managed to seat him on your bed and made your way to your bathroom so that you could find the anti-hangover portion that Azriel had stored for you and ironically he would be the one to use it.
"Y/N, I feel the wind in my hair, do you feel it too?" You huffed out a laugh as you imagined how embarrassed he would be when you would happily remind him about this tomorrow. "Sure, Az, before that why don't you drink some water."
You walked closer to the bed as you tried to coax your mate to drink some water and brush his teeth before you could make him drink the potion, hoping that he wouldn't have a horrible headache tomorrow.
After the herculean task of getting him ready for bed, you had somehow made him drink the portion and you were exhausted, you wondered how he had managed to take care of you when you were drunk and promised to never drink your mind off again.
You wondered what prompted him to get drunk like this and hopefully, you could talk to him tomorrow.
"Do you know why I decided to get drunk today?" You were going to ask why before which he continued, "Because I realized that I love her and that she would never love me."
You had to admit that it hurt, you knew that you had no claim over him but to know that he had gotten this drunk so that he could forget about whoever he was in love with, hurt like hell but you suppressed it.
"Whoever she is Az, she would be lucky to have someone like you love her." "Then why don't you" You snapped your head up to look at him and regretted it immediately as you had never seen the vulnerability reflected in his beautiful hazel eyes. You so desperately wanted to believe his, but you knew he was drunk and you would never take advantage of him like that, and somehow managed to break eye contact.
"It's the alcohol talking Az, you won't remember any of this tomorrow-" "But I will" he insisted, you relented and replied, "Then you can ask me out tomorrow when you are sober, alright." "Will you say yes?" he asked in the most vulnerable tone you had ever heard from the shadow singer. "Without a question" you assured and prayed to the cauldron that he would remember this tomorrow.

Azriel opened his eyes only to close them while cursing at the sun, he was about to turn away when a shadow protected his eyes from the harsh sunlight, he was about to fall back asleep when a soft voice stirred him awake, "Wake up, Azriel" it muttered and he immediately knew where he was and who was taking to him. He grumbled as he had a tremendous headache and was too lazy to wake up.
His best friend, Y/N was giggling as she sluggishly shifted preparing to get up, he quickly grabbed her arm, "Don't go" he murmured wanting to do nothing but sleep.
"Gosh you are an Illyrian baby, aren't you." if it was anyone else Azriel would have scowled, but with her he just couldn't help but laugh along.
She stopped laughing and turned to him, "How do you feel, Az?" she asked and he could see it in her eyes how concerned she was. "I am as healthy as a horse, I wonder who I have to thank for that."
"That would be me and while you are at it make sure you thank Cassian, he was the one who brought your drunk ass to me."
Azriel scoffed as he could already see Cassian make fun of him. "Now why don't you freshen up while I whip up something for the two of us."
Azriel groaned feeling too lazy to get up, he knew that he would eventually have to get back to his duties of being the Spymaster, he could only ever fully relax with his best friend. He avoided mentioning last night's confession thinking that you probably loved him as your best friend.
He got up and went to the wardrobe and saw that you had given his clothes a separate section amongst all your clothes. When he had first seen it he had made fun of you, it assured him that he would always have a place at your house and that melted his heart.
He had finally showered and refreshed, even his shadows were looking more lively, compared to their sluggish movements a little while ago.
He silently made his way to the kitchen to see you make his favorite pancakes. He just stood there leaning against the wall wondering what it would be like to wake up with you, how it would feel when you too would take turns cooking for each other in the morning and during weekends both of you would cook together dancing in the kitchen.
He knew how relaxed you were, he almost felt it, Azriel was confused, his shadow half of which that were playing around you and the other half was swirling around him, that is when he realized that not only did he know you were relaxed and happy, he felt it too. There was a pulsing in his heart, he could feel both of your heartbeats syncing and saw the golden string connecting you to him. His shadows were also swirling around him faster as they whispered the one word he waited to hear, Mate.
You were his mate.
You slowly started rubbing your chest, and he sensed that his confusing emotions were not received with the surprising reaction that he expected, it was almost as if you knew, that was when it clicked, why you had run way months before and almost avoided him for days, and when you finally returned, you never did explain why you had left so abruptly. He understood that you knew, and that was why you disappeared.
He slowly tugged at the bond, you suddenly stilled and this time Azriel tugged at the bond harder and quickly turned around. "Az" you breathed out and that was the only confirmation he needed, "You are my mate," he whispered as he quickly embraced you.
"Are you ok with that?" you whispered softly, you had no idea why you were talking in such a low and sweet voice, it just felt like it was called for.
"With what?" Azriel questioned, he should have been the one asking that question, you should be disgusted for being mated with an Illyrian bastard like himself.
You could feel the insecurity flowing off of him, but instead of replying, you just chose to pour the love you felt for him through the bond as you no longer had to shield or hide your feelings for your mate.
He shuddered at the feeling, when he finally gathered his bearings, he reciprocated the feeling and you both sighed in relief as you had finally found each other. That was when you realized that he wanted you to.
"I want you Azriel, I waited for you to feel the bond too, so I could finally say that I love you."
"I love you too" Azriel muttered as his eyes lined with unshed tears.
You quickly kissed him wondering how starved you were for his affection and Azriel reciprocated it just as eagerly as you softly kissed each other, it was a promise of love and intimacy that you would never lose again. You pulled away and he rested his forehead atop of yours as you both smiled at each other.
This time he was the one that kissed you and it was hot and passionate as he kissed you as if you were water and he was a parched traveler who traveled through the desert to quench his thirst.
As much as you hated it you pulled back and licked your lips, "Let's complete the mating bond first."
Azriel's eyes immediately brightened at that as you dragged both of you to the table as you quickly piled the pancakes he pulled out the plates, and neither of you stumbled as it was a practiced dance.
As you both ate the food, you could feel the bond strengthening, Azriel's eyes were trained on you as you slowly ate your breakfast. You had to wait for 6 months for him to feel the bond, it was only fair that he waited too.
And as soon as you finished, Azriel picked you up to take you to your bedroom, as you laughed heartily, you could only imagine how protective [possessive ;) ] he was going to be.
"We should the others know that they wouldn't be seeing us for the next few days."
"We can do that later, I have more important things to do with you." Azriel purred into your ears and you feel your stomach laden with excitement.
"Well, it's a good thing that you decided to get drunk,"
"It is definitely worth it now." You both laughed at that.
As you reached your bedroom, Azriel muttered, " I intend to treat you like a queen." " As you should shadowsinger."

THIRD POV
It had been well over twenty minutes since the artificial intelligence system had informed the people at the compound that Y/N had returned. Whenever the garage was used, it would let others know. Oftentimes, no one really thought much of it. The updates and messages from the system were something the Avengers and the other people working at the compound had grown used to.
When Bucky realized that she wasn’t anywhere to be seen, he wondered if she could still be in the garage. Was she alright?

I just imagined the bat boys in Traditional Indian attire and;
HOLY SHIT.
I just melted.
What I would do to see Azriel like this.

Cassian wearing this, WHEW.

Rhys, Our Dear High Lord, he would definitely be cocky wearing this.
