Do you think Dragon Age: Inquisition wouldn't have improved female armour, if it wasn't for those who spoke up about the misogyny in the past games?
Do you think Dragon Age: The Veilguard wouldn't have improved hair through working with Black consultants, if it wasn't for those who spoke up about the lack of diversity in the CC in the past games?
I could probably think of more examples if I wanted, but my point is this: Sometimes "fandom negativity" is necessary. Without people pointing out things like misogyny, racism, etc., we'd never see any improvement at all. By speaking about these things, we as fans tell BioWare that we are invested in their products enough that we care about seeing it get better.
