It’s currently 3:24 am and you’re puking up the dinner you had earlier.

Again.

It’s been going on for two to three weeks already, you can’t keep any sort of food down, certain smells make you nauseous, you feel like you can hear people blinking.

It’s driving you crazy.

Unfortunately you have to deal with it by yourself, since your boyfriend and love of your life, Atsumu Miya, Setter of the MSBY Jackals is currently out of the country for an away game.

He doesn’t know about your ongoing illness, since he is busy with winning games and training, most of the time not being able to video call you, just checking in on you by texting.

You’re not stupid, you know what’s going on with you.

Atsumu and you were a little irresponsible when he was packing for traveling to Argentine.

Little meaning, no condom during sex. You do take birth control but you only started taking it about two months ago.

The blonde wanted to feel everything inside of you and you wanted to feel all of Atsumu, no barrier in between.

So you went to your gynecologist and got a prescription for birth control.

Just when you were finishing up after getting the indigested food out of you, you phone plays 'Problem’ by Natalia Kills, indicating that Atsumu is calling you.

Groaning in irritation, you accept it nonetheless.

"Hey baby! Wanted ta call in an’ ask how ya doin’."

"Hey Tsumu. 'M doing good, I was just sleeping." You lied.

"Oh sorry, ya wan’ me ta let ya go?" Atsumu asked with understanding.

"No it’s okay, tell me how Argentine is." You smile, while walking back to bed.

The Setter excitedly tells you all about Argentine, about the weather, the food, the people and the team he is currently training with.

A former famous Setter of a Japanese High School is now the Setter of the Argentinian national team and Atsumu complains to you about how overconfident annoying and cocky he is.

Sounds like someone you know.

All of sudden, you can feel your stomach getting upset again, nausea hitting you like a truck.

"Hold on Tsumu-" You manage to choke out before you toss your phone to the side, running to the bathroom.

On the other side of the world, Atsumu can hear your vomiting noises and it causes the Setter to worry deeply.

He lays in his hotel bed, waiting for you to come back.

After a few minutes, he can hear your footsteps approaching and taking your phone back into your hand.

"Sorry about that, I uhh… almost burned my food and the smell of smoke made me nauseous." You lie once again.

But Atsumu doesn’t believe any of it.

"Baby, I heard ya pukin‘ yer guts out. Ya sure yer fine? Did ya eat somethin' bad?" The Setter asks worryingly.

"It may have been the paella I made earlier Tsum. I‘ll be fine."

"Well if ya say so. Please keep me updated an‘ if there’s somethin‘ wrong, call me an' I‘ll be on the first flight home."

"Sure honey. Have fun and take care of yourself while you’re still there. Say hi to everyone for me."

"Will do baby, love ya."

Hanging up, you take a nice and warm shower, getting ready for bed once again.

You press Atsumu‘s pillow to your face, his remaining scent fills your nose.

You miss his stupid jokes, his strong arms that hold you in your sleep and his soft chocolate-brown eyes that shine love and warmth only for you.

Little did you know, Atsumu and his team return tomorrow already, instead of staying another week.

And Atsumu is keeping it a surprise, just as much as you have a surprise for him to tell when he comes back home.

Meeting kid!Kiyoomi was an arranged meeting decided by the parents of Kiyoomi and your parents.

You were just a cute little eight year old, while Kiyoomi was already ten years old.

And to be honest, you have never seen a kid with that deep of a scowl before in your short life.

Honestly, his presence and his dark eyes gave off a highly intimidating aura that you wanted nothing to do with.

Your mum gently ushered you into his direction and you made hesitant steps towards him.

With each step you took, Kiyoomi‘s scowl grew even deeper and he almost looked like a cat hissing at you.

Seeing kid!Kiyoomi‘s mean face almost made you tear up and his mother scolded him to lose that face.

His frown softened just a bit and when you were both close enough, you introduce yourself first, bowing down a bit.

"Hello Sakusa-san, my name is (Y/L/N) (Y/F/N). Nice to meet you."

The ravenette just looked at you with an undefined look on his face, not sure yet if you’re a friend or foe.

"Why don’t you show (Y/L/N) around a little bit? Maybe you can show her Tora?" His mother suggested.

Kid!Kiyoomi seems in thought before he asked you to follow him.

Not waiting for you follow, you quickly ran up next to him, trying to make conversation.

Yet whenever you talked about something or asked him anything, he would either hum, shrug or give very short answers.

"So… what do you like to do?" You ask him as you kick a few stones away on your walking path.

"I like volleyball." And it was so quiet, you barely heard it.

"Volleyball? How come?" You asked in return with big eyes and your curiosity made him blush a little bit.

"It’s a cool sport. I just like it. I play with my cousin sometimes."

You beamed at him and you got so close, that he backs away a little bit from your excitement, his blush only intensified.

"I am glad there is something you DO like Sakusa." You gave him a big grin and that cheeky grin of yours with one tooth on the side missing, made his heart beat a lot faster and he wondered, where that warm feeling suddenly came from.

Nonetheless, the two of you spent the day together, you got introduced to Tora, Sakusa‘s pet chick and it was the cutest damn thing you had laid your eyes on.

While you were holding the cute little chick, Sakusa kept his eyes on you intensely and without realizing it, a small smile grew on his face as well.

Now older, both of you did grow closer and Sakusa had introduced you to his Cousin Komori.

It’s still a mystery to you how those two are related to each other, the only two things they shared in common was their bloodline and their love and dedication for volleyball.

You did not enjoy playing volleyball with Sakusa due to his harsh spikes and his constant nitpicking on you, but when you played with Komori, that was a different story.

He was kind, gentle and he actually talked more than three words in an hour.

Seeing you get close to his cousin made kid!Kiyoomi‘s stomach twists in a very upset way.

Like if he ate something bad, someone didn’t wash their hands or someone didn’t cover their face when they sneezed.

Kid!Kiyoomi absolutely loathes this feeling.

Seeing his older sister doing homework on the table, Kiyoomi went home earlier without saying anything to you or Komori.

Stopping in front of her, he asks her something in a very upset voice that she is all too familiar with.

"Oneesan, whenever I see (Y/N) with Komori together, I have this very upset feeling in my stomach. What is that and how do I stop it?"

She looked with surprised eyes at him before giggling.

"That is not funny. I could be dying." The curly-haired ravenette frowned.

"Kiyo, you’re not dying. You’re just jealous." She explained and went back to doing her homework, and she explained it as if it was the easiest answer in the universe.

"Of what?" His frown deepened.

She perched up an eyebrow and looked back at him.

"Because of Motoya. You like (Y/N) and you don’t want Motoya near her."

His frown turned into a deep scowl and it made his sister laugh even harder.

"I do not like (Y/N) in that way."

"Sure if you say so. Your googly-eyes at her tell me otherwise." She teased him.

Without any replies, Kiyoomi padded back into his room and slammed the door a bit when he closed it.

Sakusa did start to realize he might have feelings for you when you’re both in High School, attending Itachiyama High.

You were in the Equestrian Club and Sakusa attended the volleyball club.

When your school had a competition with Shiratorizawa, Iizuna Tsukasa, the captain of the volleyball team took an interest in you.

Your determination, kindness and passion gave Tsukasa heart eyes whenever you were near.

And it made teen!Kiyoomi furious.

Unfortunately the Outside Hitter couldn’t do anything but watch as his Captain tried to ask you out at least twice and was rejected both times.

Why, teen!Kiyoomi never found out.

6 years later~

Sitting on a bench swing, you hear the glass door being opened behind you.

Nonetheless, you keep your eyes on the stars.

A presence sits down next to you, wrapping his muscular arm around your shoulders, pulling you close to his side.

Leaning your head against his comfortable shoulder, you sigh out in bliss, your breath being visible in the cold night.

"What are you thinking about my love?" Kiyoomi asks you in a gentle voice.

"Your mean face when I met you the first time. Your scowl scarred eight year old me."

He scoffs at that and pinches your shoulder very slightly.

"Well I hated you back then but now you’re the love of my life."

"Hated me?! Excuse me Mr.I-Hate-Everyone but I was just trying to be nice and you blocked everything off like Grumpy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."

"Thanks love, I appreciate it the comparison to an old bearded grumpy guy."

"Well I mean the only thing that is missing is the white beard."

After that, Kiyoomi tickles your sides, your cheerful laughter filling the cold night air with warmth that reaches the Outside Hitter‘s heart and as long as he is the only one who can hear your laughter, he wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.

And even though, both of your bodies have changed and matured over the years, adult!Kiyoomi‘s love for you has not changed since kid!Kiyoomi fell in love with you.

You: * waiting for your partner to bring food home *

S/O: texted „I am waiting in line for the food now. Shouldn’t be too long.“

You: *sends a selfie with closed eyes* texts back „time of death 17:38“

S/O: „don’t be like that. I almost got hit by a car in the parking lot. Someone must be more hungry than you.“

You: „NO ONE IS AS HUNGRY AS ME RIGHT NOW“

Squinting your eye through the scope on an empty office building, your eye catches the new target you’re supposed to take out for your leader.

It’s already past midnight.

Sitting behind your sniper rifle that’s placed firm on the ground, you don’t hear the footsteps behind you.

"How’s it goin' beautiful?" Someone whispers in your ear.

Screaming in shock, your natural instincts grab the crowbar next to you, swinging it blindly behind you to attack the stranger.

But your swing comes to a stop when the person holds tightly onto the bar, an infuriating sexy smirk covers his face as he looks at you with his hazelnut-brown eyes.

"Tsumu! What the HELL are you doing up here?!" You hiss at your sandy-blonde lover.

"Came ta see my beautiful baby workin'. Shootin' the next target like a gun master." He walks past you and looks through the scope to see your target.

His usual closed-off outfit is traded today with a white loose shirt and black jeans.

It’s unusual, seeing the kitsune and wolf tattoos on his arms in public and it’s making your heart flutter.

Scoffing at his flirtatious remark, you gently push him to the side, remaining your position.

He sets his head down on your shoulder, rubbing his cheek against yours like an affectionate cat. You swear you can even hear him purring.

"Don’t you have some things to do? Threaten someone? Kill someone? Annoy your brother by any chance?" Adjusting the sharpness of your scope your finger finds the trigger, ready for shooting your target.

"Meh, Samu is busy screwin' his new flame from Itachiyama, an' their fuckin' sounds are reachin' every room in the apartment. Plus I ain’t seen my precious killer babe in a looooong time." He whines with a big pout on his face.

"We saw each other this morning. When I left your apartment to get back to headquarters as my presence was requested." You say with a deadpan voice, already annoyed that your boyfriend is messing with your concentration.

"That’s already way too long." He mumbles quietly, watching you work with intrigued eyes.

Pulling the trigger, you see the guy falling to the ground, not moving any longer and you pack your gun away, putting it back into its case and getting out of your current position.

"Baby, let’s do somethin' together. We haven’t had a date in a while."

"Maybe later, I need to report back." You take the stairs down in the building, your boyfriend hot on your heels.

"Why don' we head there together, 'm sure one of the torture rooms should be unoccupied." He smirks when you halt your steps, turning your annoyed face to see his lustful gaze upon you.

"You’re a freak, you know that?" You continue your steps down.

"If anythin', I’m yer freak. Yannow I love it when ya use the ties and the strangler on me." Atsumu sighs dreamily, remembering the times you used the devices on him.

Reaching your car, you see Suna leaning against it, waiting for you.

But you also see Ginjima with another car, who is visibly annoyed but not surprised that he finds Atsumu with you.

"Well hotstuff, I will see you later on. Try not to die. Still need you for certain activities later on." You wink at your lover as you get in the car.

"Rawr, love it when yer like this." He purrs and lets you go, while Suna and Ginjima gag at your exchanged words of love.
