you closed your phone as you leaned back against the wall taking a deep breath. you hadn’t expected seeing akito, being the twin of your dead best friend, it didn’t exactly bring happy memories.

the loathing feeling he held for you was reasonable in your opinion, after all you didn’t go to her funeral and you were her best friend even with the miles separating you two.

but still all of that didn’t justify the way he acted towards ayaka, it pained you that he hadn’t come in terms with the suicide, but that didn’t mean he could blame it on others.

leaving your room to walk down the stairs, you saw ayaka still sitting on the couch where you had left her. you heaved a sigh, homura had told you about her situation and you somewhat sympathized with her.

“are you hungry? i was planning on cooking some spaghetti.”

walking in to the kitchen you took out the needed materials and began by heating the water beforehand.

“oh, i wouldn’t want to be a bother—“

“you’re not being a bother. now c’mon take a seat, i want to talk to you about something.”

“o-okay.”

letting the spaghetti cook you started preparing the sauce at the same time holding a conversation with her.

“so i don’t know if you’re comfortable with talking about this, but i know about your home situation...homura told me about it”

she looked up at you with wide eyes, eyes reflecting the feeling of shock and betrayal.

“oh um, what exactly did she say?”

“she only explained it briefly so don’t worry, i just know that you stay at your friends a lot. that must be tiring.”

“oh its not! i’ve gotten used to it, they really help me out a lot.” she smiled.

“that’s really thoughtful of them.”

“yeah, they’ve really helped me with a lot.”

with that sentence being the last you guys awkwardly silent; ayaka waiting for the food while you cooke it.

after the food was done you opened your mouth to speak again, “look this may come off as too much but if you want you can stay here.” you propose finally, turning around and placing the food on the table.

“what?”

“i mean my parents are always away and are rarely home so it gets lonely most times, if you want you can permanently stay here instead of switching places all the time.” you shrugged, the girl in front of you supported a very shocked expression, “you don’t have to say yes, i know we barely know each other but homura always talked about you that i feel like we’re not strangers. my door’s always open.”

“i-is that really okay with you?” it seemed like she was considering it with the way she started playing with her fingers.

“yeah it is.”

“...o-okay, i think i’d like that.” she sighed.

you gave a genuine smile at that, “alright, you can use anything i have, and tomorrow or the other day we can get your stuff. oh you should also let your friends know, we wouldn’t want them to be worried now.” you winked.

- i hope this wasn’t confusing!! back when y/n lived in hyogo she was best friends with akito and homura but then had to move away, then some things happened that led her to commit suicide but y/n couldn’t come due to personal reasons.

- ayaka is the person homura met after y/n left and they became best friends as well, but for some reason akito blames her for the death of his twin (?) and ayaka stays with the miya twins or suna time to time because her home life is abusive

- anyways the first interaction between suna and y/n will occur next chapter!! i haven’t exactly planned how it will be but we’ll see ig :))

Suna wasn’t part of the english literature course so he asked reader to explain the meaning of her fav book...does it mean he approached his gf with a lie? saying that it was his fav book etc. because he said to reader that thanks to her (book analysis) he could speak to his gf? 🧐🧐

it wasn’t a lie per se, rather a way to open up a conversation. suna knew how much the girl she liked loved shakespeare’s and needed a way to start some kind of conversation with her. she was more on the smart and uptight side rather then a loose person so he didn’t want to try his chances with his own convo ideas. he doesn’t say the book is his favorite rather says a “friend of his” had really liked it and recommended it to him.

suna does actually go and read the book once they start dating and actually likes it!! he believes his gf showed him something amazing when reader has been trying that for a while now ://
