So many people contributed pieces covering almost all versions of TMNT we've had to date, and my assigned role was to carry the torch for the original Mirage comics, which I was thrilled to be able to do.

I decided to lean into the Turtles in Space arc, which is one of my favorites (Triceratons are just cool okay), and also made sure that it had some good groanworthy puns. Mirage TMNT has this mythical reputation for being Too Hardcore For This Soft World, but it's actually a very goofy comic that's allowed to have a little blood and intensity sometimes. I love that and wanted to make sure the goof came through.

Here's a couple WIPs, including some of my training to emulate that oldschool indie comic style! It was fun trying to get all the shapes and shading right!

i was looking for some old drawings and notes for spots, and i was trying to think when his birthday/proper date of creation would be

uno's is very clear, she was created and designed for rottmnt's universe on july 28th, 2022

but spots/giovanni didn't start out as a rise oc, when i first decided to make a tmnt oc, i hadn't watched rottmnt, i drew this right after reading the northampton arc in tmnt idw:

here he is- the first ever drawing of him. :) his head looks like a beluga whale immediately after he turned into a 2012 oc and stayed that way for a while

ok so ive been chatting w some folks on discord (who are all dangerous and terrible influences (/aff)) about the rat boys interacting with some other turtle iterations and aus at the competition. and now i have an idea for a silly little series of comics that im really excited about— but given how slow i work and how little time i have to draw rn, it’ll probably run long past when the competitions are done.

so i need opinions.

(also to clarify, id plan to post pages whenever theyre done, so itd be a series of posts starting now and updating sporadically as i can work on it)
