Quick sketch and color redo of the drawing I posted on Instagram a couple days ago. I was wondering what weapon Serena would use, then I had a discussion with friend about a scene where Serena jumped into a room and killed a mutant cabbage with a knife to protect the MC.

My jaw dropped to the floor so hard. All I can think about are Liora’s legs now. I’m dead cause the entire scene was written so well that even without the MC’s physical contact with Liora – as a reader, could still feel the warmth and shape of Liora’s leg.

Damn, this is some professional writing here. It’s really balanced and naturally poetic like Zain’s route writing style is. Very, very comfortable to read and Liora’s dialogue is quite comforting and caring.

Just as Zain’s route the first male character route to acknowledge the MC was bisexual and had a girlfriend in the past, I think Andi’s route is the first time I’ve encountered the issue of bi-erasure be addressed. (Antonio’s route offered some funny bi jokes, but I don’t think it ever mentioned the MC having a girlfriend.)

I mean, the entire truth/dare heart scene was all fun and games and I was laughing pretty hard irl, but then I got to this scene and it just made me feel good that the writers at Voltage, whether it was part of the story plot or not, are addressing some important LGBTQ+ issues. I haven’t read all the routes in Lovestruck yet, but the only other instance I remember of a small discussion was when the MC in Helena’s route explained the flag colors to Helena and how people had to fight for their rights. 

By coincidence, I was researching some stuff last night about how bi people are usually not accepted by both sides and it’s kind of depressing. It’s difficult as it is to come out, but when people mock you and say that being bi isn’t real and that it’s just a phase…you kinda’ just crawl back into the closet and just date guys your entire life.

Idk, but I’m shook again at today’s release. Not really sure what to think anymore other than I need a hella lot more boba tea tomorrow…

Overall, Liora’s route has really professional, strong style of writing. It’s actually my favorite type of style that takes elements from nature to poetically describe certain scenes and moments. Every reader likes different writing styles, so I think if you guys like Zain, Alex Cyprin, or Helena route writing styles, you’ll also enjoy Liora route’s writing style.

Damn, I couldn’t find anything to critique at all. I feel bad cause the thing that artists and writers actually hope for the most is constructive criticism, cause it’s a never-ending journey to improve. I just wanted to say that Liora’s season 1 is as perfect as the goddess Liora herself.

Zain and Liora routes set the bar very, very high for future Lovestruck releases. Not to put pressure on the teams working on Roman and Emeril, but…they have their work cut out for them in the coming months.

I’m really looking forward to reading more Sweet Enchantment stories. Highly recommend to read Liora and Zain it if you haven’t!
