🌭 2nd best dad

🌭 1st obviously goes to Dominik but shhhh

🌭 He loves playing with the kid, ESPECIALLY, hide and seek, tag, or some other games

🌭 He's a pretty decent teacher as well

🌭 He's also pretty goofy so the kid basically has a smile on their face the entire time

🌭 Not the best at comforting but does his best (with lollipops for some reason??-)

🌭 The kid, if related to their father, has his love of hot dogs, no further comments your honor

🌭 The kid is probably out in a private school or is home schooled

🌭 More than likely in a private school though because he wants them to make friends 🥹

🌭 He's the kind of father to tell his child to sock their bully in the nose if they keep bothering them or put their hands on them

🌭 Then would confidently take them out for ice cream afterwards

🌭 He does know when to discipline them however

🌭 Like if they decide to get any bright ideas with some of their father's gadgets and messes with them even though they were told many, many times not to

🌭 Mostly sends them to their room or explains very carefully why they can't play with it if they're younger

🌭 If they're older he'll pull out a chalkboard, a desk and chair, a notebook with a pencil, and make them take notes as to why they can't play around with his gadgets

🌭 Why? Just to get his point across and make sure to "torture" them enough so they never want to pick one up ever again

🌭 He even quizzes them if it was a particularly dangerous one

🌭 His child comes first, even before his villainous profession

🌭 If they're sick, he won't do that bank heist today

🌭 There's a field trip? Where's his fanny pack, he's chaperoning

🌭 Spoils the child, not to the point where they're rotten, but just enough to make sure they live a comfortable life until they decide what they want to do

🌭 For example, if they want to be like their dad, he'd react in 1 of 2 ways

🌭 Number 1, he would be very excited and would start teaching them how to give a perfect speach

🌭 Number 2, he would discourage it. Why you might ask? Because he doesn't want their child to become like him, and outcast, someone that other people hate, someone who feels the need to be the bad guy in order to get their point across somehow

🌭 He does his best to redirect the child to something as similar to his job as possible if you're imagining something closer to number 2

- I like to think he does smol little doodles when he's bored or doesn't have any inspiration to do some inventing

- He is like, the perfect dad. We all can agree on that, but I feel like he wouldn't actually want kids after Kerano

- He's more or less work oriented, and likes to focus on his work, and small toddlers and such would add a lot of stress.

- Going off of the true ending, he more than likely works in a shop or something making bots, or runs a shot due to him being a previous forge master.

- So he makes a pretty decent living on that alone.

- I like to imagine he made his own arm prosthetic before he was deemed a forge master but the holy GBA probably has his own explanation on the arm (if so let me know cause I'm very curious about that 🙏🙏)

- Devlin is so proud of Albus for fighting against the souls that possess the sword that then possessed Albus 🤧🤧

- Did Devlin experience phantom limb when he first became a forge master?? Cause he can technically "touch" things, but it's not his flesh and bone arm, now it's this robotic arm instead

- Are there touch sensors or something in the arm? Has he modified it at all to fit his needs? Is he given permission to modify his arm?

- Dream world✨ Devlin commissioned Faithful to make some paintings for his tavern. It was feeling bare and he had connections to a painter he cared for

- His father didn't praise him enough when he was little, Paladin Knight York probably wanted Devlin to be a knight like him but Devlin is too brainy for such brutal work

- So like, there was a gap between him and his father while growing up, so he tried making up for it with the ship and such

- And any praise he gets from you he treasures very dearly, as well as Albus but he won't admit it

- Kerano is his pride and joy

- He almost went into cardiac arrest when Kerano called him dad the first time instead of "Mr. Devlin"

- I don't know if there's Christmas but if there is (I'm feeling festive shhhh) he spends a whole month thinking of what Kerano could want, and how to make her first Christmas with him (or first Christmas altogether) very special and full of smiles, true ending duh

- Listen, listen, he almost pissed himself when Kerano opened her first present out for fear that she wouldn't like it

- He's genuinely concerned whenever Albus says.. things while he fights the creatures during the journey to the core

- He silently listens to Faithful teaching Albus how to read and write, and he thanks you for it cause it shows how much you genuinely care about his brother, never comments on you trying to teach him out of fear Albus would stop trying to learn

- Would be very proud if there was a day Albus could just write his name, probably being a tear to his eyes

😰 He's sort of like, petite before the incident, then after he decides to take some self defense classes and he does a bit of weight lifting 👀👀👀

😰 Not enough to like, have a bunch of muscle but enough to see it through his normal sweater, giving him the element of surprise✨

😰 He honestly... Probably hates soup after the incident. If you know you know 😭

😰 Adorable friendship for a good while, right? Then (referencing my "aster finds love again" head canons) after a few solid years of being friends, maybe he hires you during that time to like, deliver people's commissioned bouquets, and he like, confesses his love to (y/n) using a bouquet of flowers he made with how he thinks of them cause you're bound to know SOMETHING about what the flowers mean for as long as you spend in his shop 🤧🤧

😰 S O, again, you are separate from the person from the incident, B U T, you have a small child from a previous relationship or it's a W A Y younger sibling. You pick but I'm just gonna call them "your child"

😰 And I'm thinking he's either a preschool teacher or an elementary teacher but we're gonna go with preschool for my sake 😭

😰 But one day you go to pick up your child during naptime for the bigger kids (cause I said so) and when you talk to the secretary person they just say to go ahead and find your child

😰 Don't @ me I don't know how this works 😭

😰 And when you go to find your child you can see Aster comforting them after they had a bad dream, he sings them a small little song to keep their mind off of the dream (something like Little Bird, Little Bird cause it's interactive or something else idk) and he offers to read a story to them so they can try and fall back asleep, maybe even offers a small snack or something beforehand

😰 Whatever they choose, in the middle of the snack/book/song they end up catching a glimpse of you as you hide in a hallway basically giving Aster the goo goo eyes 🥺🥺

😰 You jump as your child runs very quietly towards you, basically outing you for staring at their teacher (not that I can blame you, I'd stare too 🤧) and you flush a bright red in the dark room.

😰 Aster gets a little shy at the thought someone other than the children heard him sing so he also flushes and starts fidgeting with his hands, asking what you needed in a small voice.

😰 You explain to the best of your ability without stuttering or accidentally saying something embarrassing that you needed to take your child because you wouldn't be back the normal time to pick them up and didn't have anyone else to watch them.

😰 Aster calms himself down as you speak, and says that the child is fine and goes to grab their little bag they bring every day

😰 When Aster comes closer to you, you can't help but admire his face, it was slightly round, his eyes soft and gentle, his slightly chubby cheeks make you want to pinch them, and finally, his plush lips as he spoke, his words going through 1 ear and out the other....

😰 You flinch as you catch yourself thinking about.. KISSING the gorgeous man??! Ohhh boy, you were starting to fall for the man, and you just met him today!!

😰 You finally clue in to what Aster was saying just in time to get enough context clues to give him a small and quick reply before you quickly speed walk out of the preschool...

😰 The rest is for another time 🤭🤭
