Hi me with my silly rants again. Might be another one "on a surface" thing but hey

There are some fics and fanart that depict Peter always being super passive, and like some butterfly of a boy (idk how else to put it), forgetting that he actually killed a man, presumably due to creative differences. It's not all of them, obv, and I can understand why ppl would see him as such, but I believe there's another side that I'd like to see more (in my own work included lol)

My theory is that he's so used to Andrey being here for him for anything, be it support his projects or enable his bad habits, that he sometimes expects the same from other people. I actually think that he can get really manipulative and vindictive to ppl who disagree with his vision, perhaps fly into a rage much like Andrey in extreme cases, which is evident by what happened to Farkhad. I don't know how this story was told in the remake yet, but in classic he only blames himself, and it's only him that Saburov suspects, while Andrey doesn't comment on it (or at lest I don't remember him to), even tho the headstone says that it's from them both. However, by the time that the game begins, Peter is so deep into depression and addiction that whatever strong emotions he might have, they are more likely to be directed inside, rather than outwards

Idk why but I really want to see a fic where Daniil flirts with Alexander Block for the bit and for the free riffles (maybe even goes to the Capital with him for some time) and Alexander starts to believe that it's all getting serious, but it really wasn't so Daniil has to break it off, angst happens If anyone of you are a writer, you can have that idea for free bc I can't write to save my life

Recently I've seen a post on Simon Kain and how his character represents a relative that passed away and how that impacted The Powers That Be kids, and that made me think about what some other characters could represent, specifically Katerina and Peter (they are treated very differently but I need to think about it some more rn).

Death is a heavy enough topic as it is, but then you are also facing characters that are supposed to be very talented people, who are capable of great things, something that not many other people can do, and have shown that in their own ways, or at least are trying to. However in the timeline of the story they are heavily struggling with their mental health and addictions. Makes you think where that type of character came from
