it was heavily raining outside, raindrops falling on windows of the room where you are make a dull sound. yesterday was exactly the same stormy day, and you had the misfortune of getting caught in the rain and soaking wet, so this way you got ill.

you were trying to fall sleep, the TV was quietly making some noise in the background while you were lying on the couch. your tired eyes were looking somewhere at the ceiling.

you think that this morning wasn't quite pleasant for you.

already half asleep, you heard a knock on the door. you were groggy, and someone is distracting you from sleeping... expecting that it was most likely your mother, you waited for a couple more minutes.

the rhythmic knock on the door is repeated one more time, and now you have a feeling that you need to get up and open the door. instead of finding your mom on the porch of the house, you see your friendly neighbour shooting a shy wave at you. Tamarack was holding a plastic bag in her hand, and with the other hand adjusting an unruly strand of her pretty hair.

you froze, looking at her in pure shock. you don't know why, but you didn't expect at all that Tama would want to visit you.

Tammy sighed quietly, smiling kindly. "hey." she's now talking in a more gentle tone as she notice your messy appearance. "I heard you were sick, so I thought I'd pop by and get you some stuff to help." She paused for a few seconds, looking away awkwardly. "...if you don't mind me, of course."

you exhaled, smiling weakly. you still felt sick from the weakness that seemed to have consumed your entire body but Tamarack presence definitely made it easier. Tamarack made your life much easier overall. how could you mind her? "It's okay, I'm happy to see you here. come on in." your voice was a little hoarse so you had to cough a little. this, surprisingly, caused a quiet, melodious laugh from Tammy while she was walking in. this giggle of hers made you blush slightly, while panicking a little. "why laughing?" you asked her, feeling slightly confused. "um, sorry, it's nothing, just..." she already take off her top layer of clothing, now slightly nervously fidgeting with the hem of her sweater. "nice to see you so homey for the first time in a long while. i think you look really nice." now you were both chuckling. now you were united but the same, soothing feeling. the feeling of peace between you and her.

now it seems like this rainy sick morning could still be fixed.

— Ren will sigh, but her demeanor immediately softens when she looks at your face. How could she even stand against your face covered in pain?

— Renee would be so caring for you, even if she can partly deny it.

— When you tell her that you often get hurt for whatever reason, she'll definitely start keeping a few first aid items somewhere nearby. So if you got injured, then she'll make sure to treat your every wound.

— She will quietly reproach you, but at the same time she will gently blow on where it hurts and maybe even dare to stroke a place around your injury ever so slightly.

— If your hand is injured, then Ren will definitely do everything instead of you during this time!

— Are you going to carry something? She will do it, not you. If you still don't get it, someone has a sore arm!

— Something wrong with your leg? Renee will make sure there's enough space for you to move, and move safely.

— And yet, her constant "dissatisfaction" with this comes from pure concern and care for you. She still smiles at you softly and listens when you're telling her about your adventures with other funny-or-not injures.

— But if you got seriously injured, she will be beside herself with worry and panic. Of course, she will immediately call an ambulance. She hopes and prays that everything will be okay with you.

— When Ren visits you in the hospital, i can imagine how she just can’t hold back and hugs you tightly! And she won’t leave your side at all. Do you even know how she was all worried about this whole situation with you? Oh she definitely will let you know about that.

— I bet she would visit you as often as she can, the hospital will become her second home this time. She just can not worry a lot about you now.

— Reassure her that 'it'll be okay' and make a promise that you'll be be more careful next time! And she will slightly calm down.

— In any case, probably she will be more attentive to you than before, trying to protect you from further injuries.

— You took a significant part of her heart and mind, so why can't you take care about your own wellbeing?

— “...You're too important for this happening to you, you know that?” she would say sitting beside your bed. Renee wouldn't look at you, but you already know for sure. Her words were sincere.

— Qiu was used to people liking him. It's just how it is - he had never really questioned it. Usually all people around him want to become his friends. who wouldn't want to hang out with Qiu Lin? That's right, no one!

— You made him feel a bit more interested in you than in anybody else, so he expected this feeling to be mutual. But you were different, so different that it was able to frustrate Qiu by you being not so interested in him, and imagine his surprise when you expressed even more disinterest in his company after meeting Baxter. it made him think about this.

— At first he was thinking it was temporary due to Baxter being a new acquaintance, then thought you were really just busy to hang out with him. When this continued further, Qiu began to not quite understand.

— He didn't even know why he was so fixated on this, but everytime he saw you forgetting about him when Baxter is around, he bites his inner cheek and looks kind of hurt at you for a couple of seconds. or when you constantly walk with Baxter, seeming to look at him with heart-shaped eyes, Qiu only sighs sadly and frowns, even if recovers quickly. Qiu does not really tolerate this feeling in his chest, which makes him seem to shrink inside that his stomach aches.

— He didn't understand where this feeling came from, and he might even talk to his parents about it. Qiu basically experienced this for the first time, and only with you.

— He won't interfere you much though, he still cares enough about you two, so if you enjoy each other's company then be it! But, nevertheless, from time to time he will offer other options for spending time together, those that include Qiu himself. You refuse? Oh, then he'll be kinda sulky. Qiu wants your attention too.

— He can't help but wonder, why did you like Baxter so much? Was it about his looks? Or the fact that he is rich? Qiu can't boast of the latter, but he thinks he looks good too. Or do you like his mystery behaviour? Oh come on, Qiu can be mysterious even better! Just prefer Qiu's company over Baxter, and he'll be the most mysterious person in the history.

— He will try to get your attention in different ways. He will be the very first in the bike races, he will be the best in your favorite subject, he will be just the coolest kid out here, believe me! And Qiu is so unlikely to give up. Maybe he'll learn a few tricks on his bike or how to jump off his "hideout" even more epically.

— He will also try to talk to you on the advice of his parents. Qiu would be worried, not knowing how you would take it and how to tell you properly. He even prepared the speech in his notepad in advance. After all of this, you will solve this misunderstanding, right?

— For starters, Ren didn’t care about it at all. Like, well, you into those creepy things, and so what?

— But when, due to the fact that he was your friend, he began to get involved in all sorts of "scary" things for children with you, he managed to privately regret it a little bit. Not because it's may be silly! But still...

— Do you want to summon some kind of spirit using a piece of paper and nettle?... Are you sure?... Nope, Ren is not afraid! Absolutely! He may move away a little, but he is not afraid!

— He won’t be afraid of any rustling in the room, or a draft - that’s for sure. He's just... A little tense, you know!

— When you most likely are not making much progress in this, Ren will relax only then. He'll say something like "I knew that!", but if it offends you, Ren will hesitantly apologize. After all you tried, right? That's the main thing!

— If you decide to watch scary movies with him, he won’t mind it. To some extent he is even interested.

— And then it depends on what you watch. If there is blood in this film, then after watching it Ren will say something like “ugh, that’s nasty!" and will tell you not to watch this with him again.

— If this movie is based more on spirits and evil, then he will be a little scared, but also quite excited about it. I guess he would even like it. However, after watching it, he will be a little nervous.

— Actually, it was obvious - their favouritism for you even when they were younger wasn't without any specific reason. You were their childhood crush and it's still present.

— They know that they closed themselves from the others, expect for some of their friends, oh yes they know they're still very well-known. But honestly? It doesn't seem to matter to them now.

— Autumn liked you so much. You'd never know how much they are thinking of you.

— Like, hey, you've been there for them as someone very close for 4 years, not giving any reason to untrust you or doubt you. But that wasn't the main thing.

— You looked out for them! C'mon, you visit their backyard just to talk to them practically everyday! You truly cared and thought about them, they know for sure. And they did it in return in their own way.

— And all of that made Qiu's heart flatter with emotions. They could barely contain them. Their mind was full of all kinds of things - even his notepad didn't help them out. But part of their thoughts become quieter whenever you're with them.

— I think relationship with Qiu is at the same time light, like summer evening breeze, as they definitely know what to do in practically any situation with you and how to communicate properly.

— But it can be as tough as winter cold nights too, when they again go into heavy thoughts about their “I am” and do not want to communicate with anyone at all. They are just become closed to everyone for this period of time, but they'll try and talk to you anyway.

— If someone else will try to get on your way when they're with you, Qiu will act the coldest with this poor person. They don't want this stranger just to be around now. Though if this person is someone who is at least a tiny bit close to Autumn, then they'll spare them.

— So it can be a little hard to be with them, but you know that it worth it and they don't do that on purpose.

— Sometimes they still come to the porch of your house, knock at the door and invite you to walk with them or ride a bike. They want to spend time with you.

— "...Wanna bet that I'd reach the end of the Golden Grove park faster than you?" Autumn would say in the park, already on their bike, smirking confidently at you.

— ...And this way they won't let you go home until the very late evening. But, of course, they won't do it too often.

— Rarely, but still Qiu would let you try to ride on their bike or use their notepad. It matters to them a lot, but you matter so much more.

— It doesn't seem like this, but they really are a soft kid. If you're up for some affection, they're up for it too. They aren't a fan of PDA, but they wouldn't mind if you like it. But if you're affectionate when you're alone with them, Autumn will melt more.

— They wouldn't show physical affection a lot, but they'll certainly support it. You want a hug? Oh, you may hug them all, they're all yours. You want to hold hands? Alright, here you are!

—They won't say many love you's. Qiu totally won't always express their feelings like this! But they would absolutely let you know that you're a "significant other" for them. 100% sure they wouldn't slip it.

— For example, they'll always have your back in any situation, caring and trying to help you, give you some wild flowers from the nearby forest or hand you his special notes.
