how do i say it without sounding like a loser: that i see pictures of seventeen and my heart flutters like it's made for them — pictures they've shared with us throughout the years. ones where they look dashing, styled handsomely as idols. but also, and especially, ones where they're just them. barefaced, smiling, posing all silly with one another. ones where they're just a group of friends doing typical group friend activities. having group meals, doing sports, going on trips, celebrating each other's birthdays, going grocery shopping, and ultimately just spending so much time with one another because they're a bunch of best friends who live together and, somehow by fate, all share a common thread of love for music. and i find all that lovely. they're lovely; all thirteen of them. and that makes my heart flutter all over again.
